 Supervise work of the junior staff in terms of attendance, work planning, implementation, logistics HR and other Management related tasks.
 Lead the Team of Agribusiness & Value Chain Facilitator’s in collecting, collating and preparing background information on Community and Market Development issues for the project; provide appropriate field guidance and local knowledge support to Project Management and other consultants concerned with their technical area.
 Supervise undertaking an overall assessment of the present status of institution development/community development intervention by the project in their operational area, and suggest suitable project interventions to strengthen community development and marketing activities.
 Prepare district work plans in collaboration with Agribusiness & Value Chain Facilitator’s & other relevant staff, supervise implementing the project programme at the field level to strengthen group development, ensure group equity in the decision making process as it relates to both production and investment decisions, and in terms of input output balance.
 Work closely with the project farmers groups to produce development plans that over the medium term are likely to lead to positive income growth. Undertake detailed SWOT analysis, Constraints analysis, Needs analysis, Gap analysis etc. with the existing farmers’ groups and develop new farmers’ groups as per the project work plan. Based on the findings, develop in participation with the groups priorities for project intervention that will assist in their empowerment.
 Supervise development and implementing a training programme on leadership development in the context of Community Development for project Group leaders, identify Community Activists (ex officio committed and influential members of the community for receipt of focussed training events).
 Conduct a preliminary survey of the Marketing system in the relevant project area and prepare a foundation report giving the important aspects of local marketing system for beneficiary products.
 Identify potential marketing activists within the communities, and undertake a detailed analysis of the marketing and input supply arrangements in their area and utilise these exercises to train the activists in identifying market opportunities, linkages, impediments and bottlenecks. Utilising participatory techniques formulate and implement strategies and techniques to overcome them.
 Assist the community marketing activities in designing a marketing strategy for beneficiaries, and assist them in undertaking its implementation.
 Review likely GOs and NGOs etc. operating in the project sphere (both technically and geographically) that need to be engaged in the community development process, build linkages between them and the project and develop a common understanding of the preferred community development processes, paying particular attention to the inclusion of market information in decision making processes.
 Organize meetings with traders, transporters, marketing intermediaries, wholesale and Commission agents in collaboration with Agribusiness & Value Chain Facilitator and develop a programme to overcome systemic problems. Develop recommendations for better market systems for beneficiary produce.
 Aim to allocate 70% of their time to field operations either directly involved in community organisation, training events, or in farmer backstopping and support

 Screen and analyses ongoing and completed agribusiness and value chains pilot projects for opportunities for up scaling, extension and dissemination.
 Collect, organize and analyze market intelligence, information about markets and market partners and develop sustainable value chains and agribusiness opportunities.
 Liaise with national consultants, Federal and Provincial Government Departments and relevant institutes and organizations, including other Government or donor supported programmers in Pakistan.
 Submit periodic monthly and quarterly progress reports as required by project management.
 Perform any other duties assigned by Project Management within the area of technical competence.
