• Actively contribute in designing and developing program proposals including conceptual, methodological, operational, evaluative, and financial components.

June 2017: while working as Research Associate at Centre of Gender and Policy Studies(CGaPS), i was responsible for the following

Executing all activities related to the identification, analysis and development of advocacy, research or training.
Collection of primary data, use of secondary data, securing material and data from relevant organizations, data analysis and developing primary materials in collaboration with the institute’s director.
Participates in meetings, trainings and team discussions and support the work of the center in whatever way needed. Assists in preparing report as needed.

Moreover, following are some of the projects of which I remained a part in last three years.

Worked on Status Report of Rural Women in Pakistan, commissioned by Canadian High Commission, UN Women and National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW)for the 62nd CSW. I was responsible for analysis of qualitative literature on climate change and gender, microfinance and rural women, technology and gender, social protection, rural women and rural economy. Coordinated with NCSW on behalf of CGaPS for the Technical Advisory Committee Meeting for the Status Report on Rural Women.

Worked on a World Bank project “Women in workforce: Analysis of Barriers to Women’s Labor Force Participation in Pakistan” where i worked as a data analyst for the Focus Group Discussions. Transcribed FGD’s and coded and analyzed transcriptions using MAXQDA.

Worked as Field Assistant for Awan e Niswan(AAN) workshop ‘Development of AAN Women Charter of Demands’ and supported expert consultant in organizing and conducting two day workshops with AAN members in 5 locations. Prepared an FGD guide and organized and conducted FGD’s in 5 locations with AAN members. Developed outline of brief report based on FGDs.

Worked on a South Asia Partnership Pakistan (SAP-PK) and Aurat Publication and Information Service Foundation (AF) four-year program (Oct 2018- Sept 2022) ‘Jamhorriat aur Baikhtiar Aurat’. Assisted Director CGaPS on designing questionnaire for the baseline survey. Coordinated with enumerators during data collection, remained involved with the analysis process and report writeup.

Guide the development of the draft Table of Contents for the Status Report 2020 and review the list of indicators for young women’s economic and social status in Pakistan, aligned with SDGs and other key national /provincial policy documents
Guide the research design and development of tools for primary qualitative data collection
Identify Research Assistants for conducting in-depth interviews in Peshawar, Hyderabad, Quetta, and Gilgit. Brief the research assistants on the task, ensure that the IDIs are conducted in a timely manner, and quality assure the final products from them.
Conduct 7 in-depth interviews with young women according to the criteria in Rawalpindi
Conduct analysis of all the interviews, with intra-city and inter-city comparisons to highlight similarities and differences. Identify patterns that are of relevance to the chapters and analyses included in the Status Report. Quality assure the analysis
