I am Faiz Muhammad Paracha and I have been a broadcast journalist, communications and marketing specialist from last more than 15 years. 

I started my career very early with daily Aaj Peshawar as District Correspondent in Kohat in 1996, and later joined Daily Ausaf Islamabad, in 1997 as District Correspondent. Stayed in my home town till 2001 while studying as well and did my BA in Economics and Political Science.

From January 2002 I was enrolled in Master in Business Administration program in Preston University Islamabad. During my MBA course, I started working for Radio Pakistan as Translator and Anchor for the national transmission, “Pakistan Nama” a daily morning show from News and Current Affairs Channel (NCAC) of Radio Pakistan and worked as researcher and translator in program “Iraq War Update” in 2002 & 2003.

During my time in university I represented my university in All Pakistan English Declamation Contest held in Cadet College Kohat, and in National Anticorruption Strategy Workshop organized by National Accountability Bureau, in Islamabad.

Soon after my MBA I started working in an advertising agency, but my thirst for journalism compelled me to move to Telebiz, the prestigious private business news production company in 2003. Telebiz later on transformed in CNBC Pakistan (Now Jaag TV) and which later gave birth to its sister concern Samaa TV.

I pursued my TV journalism career and moved in various organizations including Business Plus, APP Video News Service, Geo News, Samaa TV and Dunya News as Senior Correspondent Economy.

In Telebiz I used to anchor a daily 5 & 10 minutes business bulletin aired on PTV World and UniPlus Channel. In Waqt News I was given a chance to host a daily hourly show during Federal Budget of 2011-12. It was quite a new experience, hosting a live show and questioning prominent economists, politicians and analysts of various aspects of Federal Budget.

Being a journalist I have a unique experience of working with reputable advertising agencies like Manhattan Pakistan Limited (MPL) and Evernew Concepts Private Limited as an account manager, where my main responsibilities were clients servicing, account management and advertising for clients like PTCL, Privatization Commission, OGDCL and FBR etc as well as leading the marketing and promotional activities for the clientele I was looking after. 

I also have experience of working with development sector as Consultant Media Specialist for USAID’s JOBS Project and SFCG’s WILL Project, where I used to deal with print and electronic media, writing project’s success stories, documentaries production and printing of project end reports. Recently I have successfully completed one month media consultancy for the visit of President Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to Pakistan in which extensive and successful media coverage was planned, arranged and managed. The event management for Islamic Developmengt Bank's Transformers' Roadshow was done in my supervision. 

Overall my expertise spans over journalism, marketing, public relations, and advertising and as broadcast journalist. I am young and energetic; I love life, travel, and networking. I have an inbuilt quality of making friends quickly. My pass time activities include reading and travelling.

I have complete exposure of news world, experience of working under stressful conditions, meeting short deadlines and good news sense and well versed with social media content development and management, which is compulsory for this job.

Moreover, I am good at making logical and timely decisions, especially while handling matters related to news, understands the techniques and practices being used for media management and good at learning new skills and techniques. I always perform as a team member and have good interpersonal skills and gets along well with my colleagues.

Recently I have served with MADMOB Advertising Pvt Ltd as Marketing and Communications Lead for over 2 years. I have been responsible for managing events, PR and coverages of the events in mainstream media. Managing each and every details major events, like news conferences, workshops, visit of President Islamic Development Bank to Islamabad. Managed to work as communications lead for IsDB's President visit and meetings.
