Diversified experience of more than 10 years in field of Quality Control, Strategy & Planning, Research & Development, Monitoring & Evaluations, SOPs & Policy making and Project Management. I have been associated with the only vertically integrated power utility company of Pakistan “K-Electric” since 2010.
• Undertakes due care in planning QC calendar for all project related work in the cluster as per already defined project’s execution criterion/SOP
• Conducts site visits to ensure all work is being carried out as per laid down quality standards/SOPs and suggest/propose appropriate remedial actions where necessary
• Coordinates with IBCs/E&C’s focal person for providing standard work guidelines ensuring quality standards’ compliance
• Carries out root cause analysis for recurring faults and devise corrective actions for repetition control
• Develops an expansion plan for distribution network by proposing/identifying installation of new transformers, feeders, switches and ABC schemes based on forecasted data
• Analyzes standards (SAIFI, SAIDI & CAIDI), technical scorecard, network gaps and devise remedial actions in coordination with CM, PM & IBC teams
• Ensures that department operates in accordance with all the applicable health, safety and environmental protocols leading towards safety and well-being of staff & public
• Provide list of activities derived proactively by analysis and prioritize schemes in coordination with Finance team for issuance of budget based on urgency of schemes
• Maintains a robust mechanism of acquiring completed projects through accurate handing/taking over after fulfillment of all requisite documentation confirming 100% execution standards
• Involved in annual budget exercise on behalf of technical team for planning of CM & PM activities
• Focal person representing cluster in numerous projects related to Hot spot maintenance & Public Accident Prevention Plan (PAPP)
• Led KE team internationally in carrying out type tests of products in England and routine tests in France. Also, conducted tests of cables in China on behalf of K Electric.
• Responsible for carrying out tests of various products in locally in PCSIR Lahore, High Voltage Short Circuit Lab Islamabad and WAPDA RTL Lab Faisalabad.
• Worked as a team Lead of System Improvement Proposal (SIP) department which involves proactive planning, selection of schemes and design review of all proposals technically and commercially throughout Karachi
• Formulating strategy for business process improvement in Distribution Network by automation of procedures through SAP and dashboards development.
• Successfully deployed automation of preventive maintenance of Transformers through SAP PM, SIP Process Automation application and Underground fault marking tool development.
• Played pivotal role in development of SOPs across KE including both technical and commercial aspects. More than 10 SOPs are developed during my tenure in this department for standardization of processes
• Pioneer in planning and executing newly introduced XLPE Insulated LYNX / Tiger conductor successfully through pilot project in KE for enhancing life of conductors.
• Part of team responsible for the development of product specifications in KE as per the requirement of the network.
• Investigated various problems in the KE Network through surveys and prepared 50+ reports to bring improvement in the system.
• Lead project of Reengineering of Distribution Network and utilizing faulty equipment’s in network by rectifying them and saving up to Rs. 150 million.
• Provided trainings to different cadres of employees and arranging trainings for professionals and new inductees. Initiated Professional Development Program (PDP) and Energy Conservation (EC) trainings in KESC and developed 25 programs.
• Planning during Ramzan, Moharram and Rabi-ul-Awwal for scheduling load shedding in collaboration with Governor of Sindh.
• Appointed on rotation basis in various departments in Distribution Network to get thorough knowledge about complete network
• Performed Quality Checking of different devices according to defined standards and worked as a Team Lead in Production Dept.
• Assigned different tasks to employees in correspondence with the US team.
