Installed, configured & commissioned the IP Address Management (IPAM) solution for Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) to manage their all IPV4 related resources on a centralized server for all Pakistan. My Major Responsibilities were:
Job Description:
• Managed 4 Million Public IP addresses (IPV4/IPV6), MPLS VRFs, VLANs of PTCL on a centralized location. These IPs are used for services of 26.58 million BB Internet/ IPTV customers, 0.23 million Wireless customers, 53 million HSI+ CDMA/LTE customer, 18 million Voice customers across 2000 cities of Pakistan considering IPv4/IPv6 resources.
• From IP planning perspective, Integrated IPAM appliance with L2/L3 Multi-Vendor Network devices (CISCO, Juniper, Huawei ) through SNMP for capacity management, IP inventory management& data traffic monitoring.
• Worked as POC for O&M support & System Administration of IPAM project after its deployment.
• Escalated Tickets to the manufacturer of the appliance i.e. EfficientiP Ltd. (France) for Technical assistance.
• LEA (Law Enforcement Agencies) portal made dependent on IPAM appliance by configuring the \"http\" based server request to inquire the domain (Broadband, Evo, Charji) of a public IP address which was sent by LEA to IPAM.
• Tested & configured the functionality of IPAM appliance to push the DNS records in to the DNS server by creating a DNS server on CentOS using BIND. Also Configured the IPAM appliance as a resolver to push the DNS records (PTR) to the production DNS server of the PTCL.

• Examined the PTCL cabinets, primary/secondary wiring, DPs & end to end connectivity for PTCL\'s copper Network in Multiple areas of Pakistan.
• Examined/Tested the PTCL\'s fiber network (FFTH) & tested for end to end connectivity.
• Examined the graph & Measured DB loss in Fiber link for PTCL using OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer).
• Participated in training & got certification from Sofrecom & CinTel Ltd. On copper & Fiber testing.
• Managed multiple project resources while reporting to the project manager.

• Worked on the Billing and Customer Care (BNCC) portal for PTCL Central region customers.
• Worked on Static IP assignment and deletion portal (OV portal).
• Worked on observation of CACTI to analyze the routing paths between inter and intra cities across Pakistan & prepared multiple reports for higher ups for better Network Monitoring.
• Worked on NAGIOS to analyze routers to generate alerts and notifications.
• Worked on AAA server to analyze the details of sessions generated by an IP user).
• Worked on CRM portal & managed daily fault reports for the central region of PTCL & sent to the officials.
• Attended 1 week Juniper Routing Training at PTCL MMBB Core Data center on MX960.
• Attended 1 week Huawei EPC core training at PTCL MMBB Core Data center.
• Hands on experience on Google cache server shifting & up gradation at CTR Lahore Exchange in PTCL.
