1. Overall management of Utility Department Operations, Maintenance and Project Management
2. Major equipment / utilities include:
a. HVAC Systems: Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Handling Units, Dehumidifiers, Packaged Units
b. Water Systems: Reverse Osmosis Plant, Deionized Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant
c. Steam Systems: Boilers, Condensate Return Units, Feed water Tanks, Chemical Treatment Units
d. Compressed Air Systems: Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Air Receivers
e. Power Generation: Solar Power Plant (On-grid), Diesel Generators (Standby)
3. Preparation of Yearly Preventive Maintenance Plan
4. Ensuring departmental SOPs are updated as per Quality Policies and Engineering Standards
5. Planning Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) for subsequent year and participation in Long-Range Planning (LRP)
6. Keeping track of capital projects to ensure timely cash flows
7. Ensuring that all capital utility projects for the site are completed within allocated timelines
8. Validation of Utility systems and equipment
9. Leading Utility section in Quality Audits, ensure compliance with Quality Policies and timely closure of CAPAs
10. Ensuring EHS compliance at all times
11. Managing site energy data (electricity, natural gas, water, CO2 emission) and providing monthly reports for Global EHS database
12. Coordinating with third-party O&M contractor for timely processing of monthly bills and hiring of personnel
1. Ensuring that Utility equipment are maintained and perform optimally
2. Preparation and implementation of Yearly Preventive Maintenance Plan

3. Maintenance and descaling of absorption chiller – water causes scale formation in condenser over time which is removed by a washing process involving heated mixture of water and sulphonic acid
1. Ship Building Hall (bending, cutting, shot blasting) – involved straightening of bent sheets, using shot blasting to clean the sheet surfaces and giving it a relatively smooth surface, and cutting sheets in required dimensions as per drawings.
2. Non-destructive Testing: Radiographic, Magnetic, Dye Penetration and Ultrasonic Testing
