خلاصہ

 I am working in the social development sector of Pakistan for the last 22 years. I have worked with various national and international organizations during my entire career in which included UNDP Pakistan, Oxfam GB, Creative Associates USA, Halcrow UK.  Apart from that, as a consultant I have worked with DFID, Word Bank, ADB and P&D Department of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. I have also worked with various Government Department in Which Included, On Farm Water Management Department, Forest Department, Local Government Department, Home Department, and Pakistan Council of Research and Water Resources Department.  I have also conducted various activities with various universities during my career. I have a mix sort of experience. While working with UNDP and with US Aid, I have worked mostly on administrative mid-level management posts. Being a Consultant I have worked with DFID, World Bank and Planning & Development of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province. I have also worked with the communities at the gross root level, in various participatory development projects. I have worked almost in all the districts of KP with various district Governments in KP and merged districts.  Apart from it, I have also worked at Gilgit Baltistan for more than three years with UNDP under the auspices of P&D department and was working on livelihood development with various angles.  


       I have developed training programmers and have also implemented various livelihood and skills development trainings and have monitored a bundle of trainings. I have also adequate experience of budgeting the trainings and have linked with various institutes which are service provider in the trainings sector. I have also worked on advisory level during my career with the Government. I have coordinated and attended various steering committees meetings with P&D and Local Government departments at the secretariat level. I hope that an opportunity would be provided to me to express myself.


       I have also a tangible experience of conducting and leading various surveys. I have completed all these surveys as a Team Leader. A socioeconomic survery, at Bajuar a World Bank project with EA and PID, Socioeconomic and house hold survery at Mardan with P&D department KP, A Bill board, public perception assessment survery at Bajuar with Creative Associates USAID. Socioeconomic and evaluation survey at Swat, Dir Lower, Dir Upper, Shangla and Buneer for DFID funded project with Partner in Development. A Case Studies assignment of World Bank at DIKhan.  Lakki Marwat & Tank. Lead and facilitated a team of Traffic survey and land use survery.

Right now I am working with PID ( Partner in Development ) in two different projects. Before this I have worked with PID on two other projects ( DFID, World Bank). Some details of the current project are mentioned below:

We are preparing a Strategic development plan for Mardan city, In which I am working as a Social Sector Specialist in a Project of the P&D department Government of KP. I have conducted a socioeconomic and housing survey. Apart from that I have conducted about 50 FDGs with various stakeholders including local government at the Union Council tehsil and District level, lawyers, chamber of commerce, CSO, government department and various other stake holders. I have compile the data of various components including health education, sanitation, commerce, industry etc and have prepared reports for other consultants to use for SD plan preparation. This project is near to completion.

Apart from this, I am also working on another project of the Word Bank , in which PID is jointly doing work with another organization called AID. In this project our organization role is that of the Third Party Monitoring. We are assessing SADP project which is working in three southern districts of KP. With the help of some questionnaires and FDGs exercises and through our field team visits and observation we collect the data from the field and then prepare a report for World Bank. This a joint work in which each and every sector specialist prepare his part of the report. My role here in this assignment is on the Community Development Component, where I am assessing the community groups it\'s structure and functions, capacity building, market linkages,vocational skills training, Community Action Plan preparation, response to the project infrastructure component and participation in the project interventions. Collect the data from the field and then write a report based on the findings. Word Band then evaluate it and approve the report.
