I have been working in construction field (highways, bridges, buildings, underground utility services and heavy industrial concrete structures like combined cycle power plant in Pakistan and abroad since last 24 years, out of which more than 10 years with local and multinational consultants like ITALCONSULT/ATKINS.
I have been involved in execution, supervision, monitoring and inspection of total construction activities carried out by contractor at site on behalf of employer in accordance with specification, approved drawings and method statements, ensure performance of the work in strict accordance with the drawings and specification, maintain records of completed works for interim and final payments and as-built plans, adhere to safe working methods , maintain a detailed diary of the days work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used etc. checking of shop drawings, bar bending schedules, method statements, and ITPs (Inspector Testing Plans), Drafting site instructions for any required variations from, or additions to, the contract documents.

Project engineer civil
Construction / installation project for 225 MW (2GT + 1ST) Combined Cycle Power Plant Project having cost approx. USD 237 million located at Sahiwal, Pakistan.
Now the plant is operational and I am fully responsible for the regular monitoring of all the civil structures at plant, reporting of any maintenance required, estimating, tendering, evaluation of contractors and supervision of new works.
I briefly mentioned here my official job duties and the number of work done by me independently as a site engineer during construction phase:
Assistance in demarcation of land, site possession, clearing and mobilization activities.
Supervision of all owner scope activities including initial electricity connection (650kva) from Wapda, telephone connection, construction of boundary wall, administration building, hostel, canteen, mosque and residential colony 150 rooms.
Supervised soil investigation for designing of foundation of different plant structures carrying heavy static and vibratory load of Gas turbines, steam turbine, generators, transformers, cooling tower and HSD tanks.
Supervised the complete piling work in owner scope including more than 200 piles(600mm dia) up to 30 m depth, vertical / horizontal load test, low strain dynamic test and hi strain dynamic test.
Responsible to assist the site manager and senior management in monitoring and evaluating the civil work on day to day basis and as and when required.
Selection and testing of materials for this heavy industrial project at site and witnessed the testing in commercial labs.
Supervision and witness of all main and auxiliary equipment’s RCC foundations of (02) General Electric Gas Turbines (6FA) & Siemens Steam Turbine SST-900C in combined cycle power plant.(Total RCC quantity about 45000Cub Mtr.)
Coordination with consultants, contractors and subcontractors regarding civil matters to assure the completion of activities on time.
