District Health communication & Support officer DHCSO in UNICEF
I worked as District Health Communication & Support Officer for
Polio and EPI (extended program of immunization) of UNICEF.
My core responsibilities included working as a liaison between UNICEF and Punjab Governments Health Department, Developing Communication Strategies for the awareness of Polio Eradication campaign among masses of the District of Multan and conducting different Communication and Polio eradication Campaigns across the district for children up to 5 years of age.
Communication strategies included making door-to-door campaigns, organizing awareness workshops and using Print and Media advertisement.
Part of responsibilities also included the quality assurance to ensure Vaccination teams are doing their job properly, Parents are not resisting against vaccination, Proper storage and handling of Vaccines and quality standards set by the UNICEF are met.
