I have post-graduation degree in Law and a graduation degree in commerce securing Gold medal in advance accounting. I have more than 22 years of experience in profit and non profit sector. I have led organizations, managed projects, reviewed laws, policies rules, drafted laws, represented clients before Courts in Pakistan, drafted contracts and rendered legal opinions to multiple clients.
Currently, for more than 11 years I am working as Managing Partner of Right Defenders Lawyers Consultant (RDLC), a partnership law firm.
I worked as executive director of national NGO, Sanjog, for more than 3 years running projects with funding of UNICEF, European Commission, Save the Children, Plan Pakistan, US Embassy, Finland Embassy, Group Development and Law Society of England and Wales in Lahore, Karachi and Quetta. Relationship building is part of job which I ensured by fully implementing the grants conditions and donors policy and with successful completion of the projects by achieving the desired results with timely reporting. As legal consultant I have drafted laws on women rights, child rights, and transgender rights and accountability.

Executive Director
• Develop and implement strategy and networks related to child and youth protection under Sanjog’s programs
• Responsible for all management aspects of the programs in three cities, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta.
• Monitoring and internal evaluation of the programs and programs staff.
• Prepare and update work plans and budgets on regular basis with close collaboration of Finance and Administration Department.
• Planning and implementing all tasks planned under the programs on strategic basis.
• Conduct capacity building programs and TOTs for legal aid cells, judges, lawyer members of bar councils, prison authorities, police officials, children of vulnerable communities and likeminded organizations.
• Authorizing and approving the payment of expenses.
• Develop linkages with stakeholders and donors of the Programs.
• Advocacy with Govt. stakeholders for improvement of laws and facilities related to children in conflict with laws.
• Issue employees offer letters, contract letters (annual and short term), recommendations and experience letters.
• Reporting of the activities to donor. (UNICEF, European Commission, Save the Children, Plan Pakistan, USAID, Finland Embassy, Group development and Law Society of England and Wales)
• Ensure timely performance and appraisal reviews.
• Monitor budget expenditures and supervise financial records with close collaboration of Finance and Admin. Department.
• Manage and supervising the programs staff.
• Conceptualize advocacy, media and awareness raising campaigns.
• Prepare yearly reports of Sanjog and present it to Sanjog’s board.
• Implementing the publicity, communications and lobbying strategy.
Program Manager, Legal Aid Program
• Maintaining the database of all cases of juveniles in Lahore, Karachi and Quetta.
• Organising a system to identify children in need of legal representation.
• Facilitation of legal aid cells from initiation to implementation of the LAP plan.
• Administering the three local steering groups for coordinating legal aid.
• Establishing and administering the operational groups for detention facilities.
• Organising the logistics of the training courses and production of training material.
• Ensuring that financial records are kept of activities implemented Assisting with the preparation of reports to the European Commission, Law Society of England and Wales, British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
• Meeting the outputs and targets set in the project description.
