I joined KPMG in October 2016 as Assistant Manager Taxation and within the span of 1.5 years got promoted to Deputy Manager Taxation. Currently, I’m responsible for handling tax matters of various sectors of clients which includes; FMCG companies, Investment Management company, Mutual Funds, Manufacturers, Brokerage houses, Commercial importer. Port Terminal operator, Insurance company, Foreign Airlines and Non for Profit Organization. My responsibilities includes:

 Advising clients of tax implications in various business matters.
 Assisting clients in preparation of Income / Sales tax returns.
 Assisting clients in discharging their liabilities against quarterly advance income taxes.
 Assisting clients in routine and non routine tax compliances.
 Assisting clients in obtaining withholding tax exemption certificates where applicable.
 Assisting clients in the process of tax audit / withholding tax monitoring conducted by tax authorities.
 Educating clients on changes made in the Federal and Provincial tax laws.
 Responding to the notices of Federal and Provincial tax authorities on behalf of clients.
 Representing clients for hearings with different tax authorities.
 Representing clients on various appellate forums i.e. Commissioner Appeals and Appellate Tribunal.
 Arranging meetings of clients with tax lawyers where there is a need to obtain interim stay order against any adverse action taken by the tax authorities or to challenge the tax levy on constitutional grounds at High Court and Supreme Court levels.
 Conducting tax due diligence for potential investors.
