Worked as a Sr.Maintenance Engineer on 21 MW Coal Fire Power Generation Plant. As a Maintenance Engineer, I am held responsible for:

1. Preparation of maintenance schedules of utilities and boiler area.
2. Identifying and procuring spares required for mechanical equipment for routine/shutdown maintenance and to optimize spares inventory based on utilization frequency.
3. Follow up and timely execution of scheduled maintenance jobs.
4. Trouble shooting and overhauling of pumps, compressors and boiler equipment.
5. Investigate recurring failures and generate recommendations to improve the plant operation and machine’s life.
6. Shutdown planning and its execution within allocated resources and time frame.

Project: Erection and Commissioning of 21 MW Coal Fire Power Generation Plant

During erection and commissioning of 21 MW Coal Fired Power Generation Plant. I was held responsible for:

1. Preparation of BOQs, performing quality control and reviewing technical drawings.
2. Maintaining record of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including Radiography Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Penetrating Test (PT). Reviewing RT films to highlight welding defects.
3. Preparation of project plans and ensure on time implementation of work packages.
4. Managing on site activities and resolving on site issues by consulting Site Supervisors of ANDRITZ, CHRISTOF and FLSmidth.
5. Managed high-pressure piping activities and successfully completed Hydrostatic Pressure Test.
6. Successfully executed fabrication of air ducts and coal transfer tower as per drawings.
7. Making necessary arrangements for refractory work and ensure correct installation of anchors, studs and supports for casting refractory material.
8. Successfully completed refractory dry out, first fire and steam blow out phases of commissioning.
9. Held responsible for making insulation work schedule and regular inspection to improve quality of work.

1. Held responsible for reviewing semester projects and assisting students with their specialization projects.
2. Carried out further research on Master thesis and wrote Journal Paper on “Estimation of Resistance to Trains inside Norwegian Tunnels”.

Worked on an estimation of train resistance project and successfully reduced the energy consumption and improved the punctuality of trains.
1. Data analysis of train test runs were performed using Open Track simulation tool, MS Excel and Python.
2. Improved business process by making comparison of modeled runs with the tests runs.
3. Coordinated with the planning team of NSB and organized monthly meetings.
