I have worked with different INGOs on various development projects for over two decades. As a development practitioner, I have served the Aga Khan Planning and Building Service Pakistan, an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network and Save the Children USA mostly in the capacity of Programme Manager, Project Manager and Programme coordinator. Owing to my specialization in civil engineering, Project management, rural development and coupled with managerial and coordination skill set, I offer expertise in programme design, planning, implementation and phase-out. In the realm’s development projects, I carry a portfolio composed of projects related to Water and Sanitation (WatSan), construction (schools, hostels, health facilities, hospitals and shelters), livelihood, relief and rehabilitation of disaster affected People, emergency response and disaster risk reduction.
As consultant, served to Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) Tajikistan in implementing Water and Sanitation Extension Programme -WASEP model in Tajikistan for three months. Trained the engineers and social mobilizers in planning, designing, and execution of WatSan projects through training workshops and practical demonstration in the field.

Supervised construction of self-help schools and health centers construction programme in the region (Chitral KPK);

Achievements:
Successfully completed construction of 15 self help schools and 17 self help health centres in Chitral KPK
Worked on construction of Booni Medical centre with covered area 18000 sft. Supervised the construction work of highly reputed projects (Chitral Boys Hostel) with covered area of 22500 sft.

Provided technical backstopping to the technical and social staff in planning, designing, and implementation of community based water and sanitation schemes at regional level;
Prepared field based work plans for the implementation of Water Supply, Sanitation, and Health and Hygiene Education activities;

Provided technical and management support to a multidisciplinary team of 45 staff in planning, designing, and implementing the ECD integrated program;
Monitored and supervised construction of earth quake resistant houses and schools, retrofitting of existing selected houses and schools;
Ensure provision of safe water and sanitation facilities to selected school buildings, installation of energy efficient building products (wall, roof & floor insulation), provision of smoke free stoves in the houses and schools to reduce smoke related diseases’

Partnership for Recovery and Development of Allai (PRDA)-Save the Children
My responsibilities as senior manager WatSan included technical coordination, development of Annual Work Plans and monitoring implementation of WES programme in earthquake affected areas of NWFP. I was also involved in analyzing information on selected large water supply schemes to assess social and technical feasibility, preparing and reviewing budgets and detailed work plans and monitoring of capacity building of selected IP's for Watsan management committees, coordination and initiating dialogues with Tehsil Municipal Administration to develop and/or improve WES sector planning and management and guide partners to launch hygiene promotion and implement total sanitation concepts in target union councils for behavioral change. The job also included coordination with partner NGOs, Government agencies and other organizations involved in the Programme.
Achievements:
Enhanced access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities to over 200 communities with 15000 populations in District Datagram-KPK and other program areas.
Introduced and implemented community let total sanitation (CLTS) approach in 10 villages of Allai Tehsil KPK.
Introduced and successfully implemented the rain water harvesting techniques in 02 villages of Allai.
Constructed 10 Government Primary Schools for girls and boys at Allai.
Organized seminars on Water and Sanitation policies at provincial and district level
Kfw had provided 9 Million Euroes over the period of 3 years for this community participation based program expected to cover construction and rehabilitation of water and sanitation facilities, health & hygiene improvement and capacity building in approximately 307 villages spread in Gilgit, Baltistan and Chitral regions.
Responsibilities
Responsible for overall management of integrated water and sanitation programme across the program area ( Gilgit- Baltistan and Chitral KPK);
Provide management and technical support to integrated team in planning, designing, implementation and monitoring of programmme activities across the program area;
Ensure implementation of programmme activities as per agreed specification/ SOPs, approved budget and timeframe;
Supervise rapid assessment, detailed surveys and implementation of community oriented WASEP and livelihood infrastructure interventions in programme area;
Work closely with Government line agencies and build their capacities around poverty alleviation by improving health standards;

Managed a multi-year programme of worth 9.0 million Euros within given timeframe, quality and budget lines.
Successfully completed integrated water and sanitation schemes in 272 villages in the remote areas of Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral (KPK) benefitting over 215,000 poor people.
Completed 05 urban mechanized pumping water supply schemes.
Supervised the construction of 02 Integrated Area Up gradation Projects ( DWS & Sewerage systems)

The Multi-Input Resettlement Programme (MIRP), is a 4-year resettlement program which will provide assistance to households affected by the Attabad Landslide and the 2010 Floods in the Hunza-Nagar, Gilgit, Ghizer and Chitral districts of Pakistan. The MIRP will contribute to the improved physical and economic security of the affected households from 67 villages of the above districts by giving them the opportunity to finance land purchases, housing construction and income generating activities such as farming and private enterprise as well as tertiary education. Six Partner institutions of AKDN are involved in MIRP and AKPBSP being lead organization, is responsible for overall management of the program.
