On the project manager position I have directly managed 4 projects with the financial funding from Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ Germany & Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe – Germany. These projects focused on Community Restoration through Livelihood Development, Disaster Risk Assessment, Disaster Resistant Rehabilitation of Housing, WASH, Livelihood and Disaster Risk Reduction), Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR). Under these projects I have managed budget of more than 62 million PKR and successfully completed financial audits from the Pakistan TOP 10 auditing firms and shared project end reports with the donors satisfactorily. Under these projects I have managed more than 50 project based staff in the field.

DUTIES PERFORMED:
Project Proposal Writing & Reporting
• Coordinate with staff from other AHD Pakistan departments (technical sectors, finance, and field staff) to compile relevant information and documents to support proposal development;
• Development formats for, prepare, review, compile, provide feedback on, and finalize draft donor reports, editing for format, grammar, and content;
• Prepares internal and external reports for AHD and donors, including monthly/quarterly/interim, final reports, budgets and expenditures reports whenever required.

Assessments and surveys
• Conducted Disaster Risk Assessment in the disaster affected areas utilizing data gathering tools i.e. PRA tools, Hazard, Resource, Vulnerability, and Risk Analysis of the target communities.
• Conducted household vulnerability assessment and feed the information in the risk assessment database to analyze the information related to the vulnerability at household level.
• Conducted need assessment with community members/committees to design feasible interventions related to disaster risk reduction components i.e. preparedness, mitigation and prevention measures.

Capacity Building of Staff Members
• Build the capacity of field staff to write and incorporate feedback on donor reports;
• Assist program quality monitoring staff in conceptualizing and facilitating implementation of program quality tools developed;

Coordination and Networking with Stakeholders (Community, government and donors)
• Develop communications and visibility documents, presentations, videos and other materials in line with DKH Pakistan’s strategy;
• Represent AHD and participate in district/regional level DRM forum meetings and other relevant humanitarian/recovery coordination meetings.
• Establish terms of references with authorities/stakeholders and ensure strengthening of the relationship through mutual information sharing.
• Transmit security related information/alerts to the project staff and remain in constant coordination with the security focal point by donor.

Project Monitoring
• Identify and communicate to program quality monitoring staff and technical teams gaps in reporting/data collection;
• Responsible to ensure the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the activities as per defined objectives and set targets mentioned in project proposal and agreement.
• Monitoring the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Project implementation
• Ensure quality and integrity of targeting, implementation, including adherence to technical guidelines, systems, and established deadlines.
