I have done eight weeks internship and my duties as intern at Serena hotel were as follow:
1. INCOME AUDITOR
In this role I was supposed to ascertain the daily hotel revenue and to extract the net daily income of the hotel. There were other daily financial reports to prepare daily on the basis of sales and to communicate these reports to the financial controller and general manager. These reports are as; • Early Bird Report• Business Intelligence Report• Rack rate Activity
2. CREDIT MANAGEMENT
I worked in credit management section of the finance department and my duty was to assist the credit manager. In credit management section my activities were to prepare the following statements • Aging schedule of credit sales• Daily banking (maintaining the hotel records with that of bank records)• Recording the daily credit transactions in hotel records
3. PROCUREMENT AND PAYMENT SECTION
I worked in procurement section and my duties were the following; •
Collecting daily demand of the hotel , Contacting suppliers for the needed products and services• Recording purchase transactions in software called as SunFinance , Preparing reimbursement details to the head office Islamabad Serena Hotel, Payments to the daily wagers and suppliers
4. COST CONTROL SECTION
In cost control section I was supposed to perform the following activities; • Analyzing the daily cost incurred on energy and reducing wastage\'s and unnecessary cost contributors Coordinating with repair and maintenance section to maintain the proper condition of fixed assets
5. Marketing Department:
In marketing department I was supposed to receive daily orders for products and services of the hotel. The following were my activities in this section; receiving orders, negotiating with clients, Communicating orders with other departments of the hotel, Event management (making arrangement for events like marriages, parties, high official meetings etc)

I have spend eight weeks at National Bank of Pakistan Gilgit as Intern. The main duties at National of Pakistan were as follow;
1- I was supposed to pay and record the Pension and benevolent fund to federal Government and provincial Government Employees
2- I had duty to pay and record the remittances from overseas Pakistanis
3- I was supposed to receive cheques and clear the cheques
4- Evaluating the applications for Prime Minster Youth Loan Scheme
5- Opening new bank accounts for new clients and listening to the queries of existing clients
6- Helping the credit manager in evaluating the clients and making loan schedules
7- Preparing pay orders, mail transfers and demand drafts
8- Helping branch Manager in scheduling meetings with other corporate sector high officials, with Non-Governmental and agencies
