To assist Manager Fiber Ops in managing network operations, office management, store management, vehicle management and other management and field oriented functions detailing as under:

• Management of optical fiber routes ranging up to 2000+ Kms across Sindh.
• Ensuring network availability at 99.99 percent.
• Reducing no. of cuts by monitoring and enhancing vigilance on OFC routes.
• Managing trouble tickets of fiber related events on Hp OV portal.
• Ensuring effective use of WFM phones and apps by all Fiber maintenance Centers.
• Preparing reports related to fiber operations of the region.
• Ensuring restoration of corporate circuits related to the fiber operations domain.
• Planning preventive maintenance and loss removal activities to be performed in the region.
• Coordination with all FMCs of region.
• Inventory management by ensuring availability of sufficient store material in all FMCs and
regional manager’s office.
• Vehicle management (Fuel management, monitor, budget control and coordination with management and vehicle users).
• Participation in preliminary acceptance tests for newly deployed circuits.
• Providing necessary feedback on events related to operation division.

A 500, 220 and 132 kV Grid station, located in Jamshoro.
Had an opportunity to interact with system components, switching of transmission lines, monitoring and control center.
Learned about troubleshooting and maintenance of an SF6 circuit breaker.

A one month internship in a thermal power plant, having 4 generating units in total with an accumulated capacity of 850 MW.
Learned about control room operations, operation of individual units, station components and their roles.
Had an opportunity to work with SCADA system, interconnected to the national power pool.
