Assist and support in all human resources functions for nursing and ancillary service including hiring, firing, and disciplinary action; maintains appropriate documentation and ensures compliance with all KMH policies and requirements.
Ensures that staffing levels and coverage are adequate to meet patient care and regulatory requirements.
Works closely with supervisors and other KMH Managers to maintain positive patient care atmosphere.
Assures that nursing and ancillary staff practice within their individual scopes of practice

• Assesses patient needs upon initial encounter and periodically throughout navigation, matching unmet needs with appropriate services and referrals and support services, such as dieticians, providers, support group and financial assistance.
• Assesses educational needs of patients, families and caregivers taking into consideration barriers to care.
• Applies advances nursing judgement to determine the comprehensive care needs and match resources
• Promotes autonomous decision making by patients through the provision of personalized education and support.
• Perform detailed counseling of patient and family before initiation of plan of care; counseling contains coverage of components of holistic care; specially communication on reproductive health.
• Provide psychological support to and facilitates appropriate referrals for patients, families and caregivers, especially during periods of high emotional stress and anxiety.
• Acts as a liaison between the patients, families and caregivers; and the providesrs to optimize patient outcomes.
• Facilites communiation amoung members of the multidisciplinary cancer care team to prevent fragmented or dealayed care that could adversely affect patient outcomes.
• Promotes lifelong learning and evidence-based practice, by self and others, to improve the care of patients with a past, current, or potential dignosis of cancer.
• Monitors quality based outcomes that may include; access to service; time duration from assessment to dignostic to tretment; outcome of patient education and many more.
• Obtains or develops oncology-related education meterials for patients, staff and community members as appropriate.

• Plans, Schedules, coordinates, and assigns work and establishes goals and priorities for nursing and support staff in a health care setting.
• Provides supervision over the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in an assigned health care setting.
• Serves as a resource in clinical situations.
• Assess available resources, patient and unit needs and assigns staffing according to patient acuity.
• Assists in the development and implementation of staff education and orientation, specific job related training, and other approaches provide opportunities for staff flexibility and development.
• Implements safety and quality improvements standards and develops procedures to ensure compliance
• Initiates and recommends disciplinary action for employees as necessary.
