Develop report formats, questionnaire and observational sheets and TORs for internal and external monitors. Direct field visits, interviews and filling of requisite preform, provide support to PIU and P&DD AJK safeguard team. Carry out screening of sub-projects for involuntary resettlement impacts to determine eligibility of the sub-project for financing from World Bank. Support the safeguards unit in implementing the RETA on land acquisition and resettlement, particularly in providing inputs related to AJ&K Land Acquisition Act. Implementation of World Bank Policies on all 51 sites of sub projects under, DCRIP. Review social reports like Environment Social Management Plans (ESMP) for 51 sub project sites. Prepare IEE and EIA of different subprojects of PDO, PPH, Forest and Irrigation Departments of Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Deal with World Bank missions and facilitation at the time of bank’s monitoring visits to the construction sites. Review of Contractor Social & Environment Action Plan, Contractor’s monthly progress reports and monitoring plans. Imparting Training to PIU, PMIC (Supervision Consultants on WB Safeguards, EHS guidelines, COVID-19 Mitigations. Supervise the bidding process with regards to social aspects and contractor queries. Submission of ESMP’s to World Bank and addressing their comments for NOL from World Bank. Regular examine visits of the potential proposed subproject sites for social surveys/ monitoring at different sub project sites across AJK in 10 different districts.

Play a key role as a translator (English to Urdu) of ESMP of 20 Sub-projects for community and DCRIP Website display to ensure World Bank information display policy.
Function in close coordination with Planning & Development, EPA, Municipal Corporations, Forest, Wild life, PP&H, Irrigation and PDO departments of GoAJK.
