KEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Complete drawing study of job when a job will start, understanding its views and its requirements. Also preparing essential documents in the light of code/ customer’s requirements. i.e. ITP etc.
• Reviewing the MTRs/documents of raw material.
• Inspection of the job at the most critical stages i.e. marking, final dimensional Inspection, Hydrostatic testing etc.
• Ensuring that controlled copies of all relevant codes and/or specifications are available at Works/Project and only current documents are in use, in accordance with Master Lists of Documents.
• Looking into various techniques, equipment and tools to enhance the productivity of various constructions and manufacturing processes.
• Conducting WQT on the new hiring of a welder/for the renewal of qualification of welder. All welders are given an identity card after qualifying a test. Besides this also updating “list of qualified welders”.
• Inspection of the all consumable for welding (Electrodes, flux, filler wire) at incoming stage.
• For Each job, preparing a weld map which will show all the joints that will be welded. For Each Weld Map, a weld matrix is prepared which shows the type of welding/applicable WPS number for each joint.
• After the completion of welding, inspection of the welded job, and preparing “welding Inspection Report” for IDM.
• Observing techniques and performance of welders in shop or at construction site, ensure baking & preheating of electrodes (when required) & ensure implementation of relevant WPS.
• Inspection of welded joints of work in progress and of completed units for visible defects. Examining joint to detect flaws, such as cracks, spatter, and undercuts, using flashlight and magnifying glass.
• After visual inspection, offering inspection to NDE section to test joints using DPT, MPI, UT&RT techniques.
• Conduct Inspection with Client’s QA/QC Engineers/Inspectors after internal inspection of the work are completed.

• Supervision of Production & placing of concrete at site according to Concrete Mix Design.
• Inspecting material involved in construction like raw material for concrete batching plant (Cement, Aggregates, Admixtures, etc...), reinforcement.
• Monitor the fresh concrete testing like concrete temperature, slump and cube casting etc...
• Report to Client after carrying out necessary quality control tests of the work at provisional and at final stages.
• Concrete compression test, Brick compression & Water absorption test, Steel Reinforcement (Grade-60) tests.

Supervising the fabrication and welding process employed for the manufacturing of transformer tank, (10 KVA to 3500 KVA Transformer Tanks).

• Monitoring welding of MS sheets, flat, angle, channel and elliptical tubes. Managing weld repairs.
• Monitoring the performance of the welding contractors.
• Powder coating Plant operations & paint inspection.
• Reporting of Daily Production to Higher management.
• Inspection of MS sheets (Rockwell Hardness Test.)

• Checking and controlling the production and quality of various steel grades according to A.S.T.M standards on 12 tons furnace.
• Supervision of production of MS and alloy castings.
• Carrying out metallurgical analysis in chemical lab.
• Preparation of daily production log sheets on MS – Excel and sampling management.
• Also assigned job to check over steel casting on CC plant for quality billets.
