Since I joined RSRIR in August 2014, I have gathered extensive experience in Audit & Assurance department rendered my services in carrying out audit, review and agreed upon procedure engagements of different public and private sector companies.

Audit and Assurance Services
As a key member of the Audit & Assurance department started as an audit assistant and promoted to audit in charge, my major responsibilities included:

Preparation of financial statements and other financial information of various manufacturing and trading concerns and financial institutions in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework.
Making judgements, estimates and assumptions required in preparation of financial statements, including fair value estimates, net realizable values and impairment.
Evaluation and selection of appropriate accounting policies.
Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and other financial reporting frameworks.
Assessment of client’s business and internal control risk.
Obtaining an understanding of the entities, the industry and the environment they operate in and the associated risks and relevant controls.
Ensuring timely execution of audit tasks with appropriate follow-through; and
Identifying and investigating audit differences and evaluating findings.

Undertook planning and finalization of engagements, resolution of key issues and delivering clearance presentations. The experience gained here was instrumental in polishing leadership, adaptability, presentation, time management, teamwork and client interaction skills as well as delivery of result-oriented outputs.
