 Operation/ Watch-keeping of all the engine room machinery as Senior Duty engineer officer during sailing, anchorage and port.  Carry out the steps needed in case of any machinery failure by solving the problem for smooth operations of the ship.  Maintenance of engine- room machinery including Main engine, Generators, Air Compressors, Purifiers, Refer plants, Boiler, Pumps etc.  Ensure safety of juniors during duty by keeping in mind all the safety parameters.  Ensure the ship engine Log Book is up to the required standard and keeping track of remaining fluids quantities in tanks on board.  Documentation related to engine room machinery including record of machinery spares and making new requisitions of required parts.

 Identification of all the systems of ship including Oil Lubrication system, Heavy Fuel oil System, Diesel oil System, Sea Water System and Fresh water system and Air System with the help of drawings.
 Operation/ Maintenance/ Watch-keeping of all the engine room machinery as first assistant under senior officer including Main engines, Generators, Boilers, Air Compressors, Refrigeration Plants, Purifies, Pumps etc
 Carry out all the desired measures including vigilant Communication with Senior Officer in various ship operations including Fuel oil transferring, Oil-based-mud transferring, Fresh Water and drilling Water transferring from ship to offshore based OIL RIGS at sea under the rules set by ARAMCO SAUDI ARABIA.
 Maintaining the Ship Engine room Log Book by feeding all the desired parameters of machinery during Watch.
 Documentation related to engine room machinery.

 Working with the experienced engineers and technicians by being their first hand in help in overhauling, dismantling and assembly of Marine Diesel Engines, Generators, Air Compressors and other auxiliary machines.
 Learning and Practicing on various machine jobs including the operation of lathe machine.
 Understanding and Performing welding, gas cutting and brazing jobs under supervision.
