Ensuring maintenance, serviceability and Fleet Management of entire Army Aviation Fleet. Coordination of all matters relating to maintenance and repair of aircraft / helicopters through respective Aviation Bases, Spares Supply Depots and Aviation Base Workshop for inspections, modification, manufacturing of components tools, Ground Support Equipment, Aviation lubrication and fuel required for smooth Aviation operations. Procurement of aircraft/ helicopters spare parts, concluding and maintain/ manage rate running contracts of various suppliers. Utilisation of army aviation budget.Aviation spares procurement plans for next 5 years. Have proven track record of flawlessly managing the diverse fleet of 17 different origins of over 300 aircraft and helicopters. Highly experienced in judicious planning, forecasting, aviation contract formulation & monitoring, and procurement of aviation spares and assemblies including overhauling of helicopters and assemblies from abroad. Ensuring intimate coordination between aviation work-shop, spares depots and aviation maintenance units for maintaining above 70% serviceability of fleet (International Standard of aviation serviceability). Management and effective monitoring of more than 20 RRC (Rate Running Contracts) & BOA (Broad Ordering Agreements) of various OEMs, Aviation Spares Supplying firms, Overhauling & Aviation Maintenance C enters / facilities and local purchase firms for procurement of aviation spares, ground support equipment, aviation Lubricants etc.
