Responsible to ensure the reliable and smooth operation and maintenance activities of HFO (Daihatsu, 8DL-32) and GAS (Jenbacher, JGS 620), and Deisel (John Deere J66, Perkins, Nisan NE6, Mitsubishi, and Hino) engines. Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems for optimum functioning. Inspect and test equipment and circuits to identify malfunctions or defects using wiring diagrams and testing devices. Preparing Major Overhauling (MOH) and Top End Overhauling activities timeline in coordination with Power House staff and performing accordingly. Testing of Woodward Governor (UG-8), Fuel Shutdown device, Control Relays, Excitation System, and Battery Bank. Bench test of Generator Protection relays with Relay Tester (Severker 760), MV trolleys maintenance, VCB (IR test), bearing replacement of auxiliary motors, and maintaining records detailing tests, repairs, and maintenance activities. Calibration/testing of Engine and Alternator safeties after overhauling. Monthly inspection of Earth pits and maintaining preventive maintenance history data of faults. Performed laying/termination/IR test activity of HT XLPE cable (2x150mm2) from CFPP to existing Power House. Maintaining an inventory of spare parts for all equipment, requisitioning parts as necessary. Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment. Preventive maintenance of HT/LT switchgear (VCBs (Shinko), ACBs (Terasaki)) and Transformers (J&P & Siemens) Dehydration, Dielectric strength test, Oil refilling periodically, and Silica Gel replacement. Maintenance and routine checking of LT Power Factor Improvement panels. (Nokian PFC N6/N12) Worked on troubleshooting and upgrading the Auto Load Shedding (ALS) system to avoid complete plant blackout. Planning/Notifying/Managing facility personnel about equipment shutdowns and start-up. Open and close switches to isolate defective relays.
