Sabir Shah, a developmental practitioner holding Mphil degree in Public Policy with several research publications. A passionate and humble resource person, having more than seven years professional experience in projects implementation in social and development sector, has continued his professional career with different NGOs and INGOs in different capacities. During Mphil studies, conducted research work, collected data from field to analyze different trends and inform policies. Having critical concerns over climate degradation, he is advocating for climate change in different platforms and projects. Along with Research work, he is professional of Project management and having diverse experience in project vs program planning and designing, management, implementation, monitoring, conducting reviews and remained proactive part of different surveys that include Need Assessments, Baseline/KAP and End-line surveys, projects/programs Reviews, Evaluations and Impact studies. He has nurturing innovative skills of professional report writing (Monthly, Quarterly and completion reports) and database management. He has conducted different lesson learnt exercises, need assessments, baseline studies, project/program reviews, developed human-interest stories and case studies to reflect the outstanding contribution of the projects. Thus having a repository of organizational learnings and good practices for continuous improvement. Moreover, he is capable to compile impactful reports for different audience as per the need and requirement of the program. In his current and previous roles, he have expertise the skill to write different reports including activity report, progress, completion, learning, interim, and final reports of various projects.
In my capacity as the lead for Islamic Relief Pakistan within a multi-country project focused on climate change adaptation and mitigation, I orchestrate strategic initiatives aimed at bolstering the resilience of vulnerable communities. This project spans multiple nations, including Pakistan, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Afghanistan, with a primary goal of addressing the intricate challenges posed by climate change. the purpose of this project is to develop a CVCA (Climate Vulnerabilities and Capacities Analysis) toolkit for guiding development and humanitarian interventions.
Within this role, I spearhead the design and implementation of tailored interventions specifically geared towards mitigating climate change impacts in Pakistan. This includes the meticulous development and deployment of a Climate Vulnerability and Capacities Analysis Toolkit, meticulously crafted to assess and address the unique vulnerabilities of Pakistani communities.
My responsibilities encompass a comprehensive spectrum of activities, ranging from conducting rigorous needs assessments to executing targeted climate change awareness campaigns and advocacy efforts. I collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders, including staff members, local community organizations, non-governmental bodies, and governmental agencies, to ensure the seamless execution of project objectives and provide strategic guidance for future interventions.

As a Livelihood Officer, I am providing support to communities affected by floods in Mirpur Khas, Sindh through the provision of multipurpose cash grants and other related interventions. My responsibilities include conducting detailed assessments of the affected areas and identifying the most vulnerable households in the communities.
Based on my assessments, I develop and implement programs to support affected households inside community, ensuring that the grants are used effectively to support people\'s livelihoods and well-being. I work closely with community leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure that the grants are reaching to those who need it the most.
Moreover, Regular monitoring and evaluation of the program is conducted by involving MEAL team to track the progress and make necessary adjustments. I provide technical support and guidance to other staff and stakeholders working on livelihood programs, and manage program budgets to ensure that funds are used effectively and efficiently.
As a community development officer, I am responsible for sensitization, mobilization, capacity building, and training of the community in the project target area. In this connection, I support programmes aimed at reducing poverty and helping to improve the lives of people who live in deprived areas. I involve communities in seeking solutions to the problems they face in partnership with statutory and voluntary bodies, promote the programme locally, regionally and nationally through strategic engagement with key service providers and other regional and national bodies. have a holistitic unserstansing of the projects and assisst project managmers in reports writting, risk managment analysis, and other complementary assignmnets tasked by project leads.
