Renaissance Advisers is recruiting a Senior Accountant for its partner, Terra Nova Solutions (“TNS”), a dynamic and growing professional services company based in West Africa.

We support our clients’ success by providing trusted, timely and flexible finance, administration, and advisory services tailored to their unique needs and operating environment. We also leverage deep networks in West Africa to connect our clients with a constellation of trusted local service providers to further empower their businesses.

We are growing quickly and seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial, mid-career finance and accounting professional to collaborate with our growing practice. TNS is seeking a mid-career accounting professional to support financial management and reporting functions for TNS clients.

The role will involve working with a close-knit team to support our clients across a range of finance, accounting, audit support and transactional matters in various West African jurisdictions. As a senior accounting resource, the candidate will apply their professional judgment and experience to further clients’ objectives and will take an active role synthesizing cross-functional professional advice touching on a variety of financial, tax and audit matters.

Core roles of the candidate include:

Maintenance, development, and improvement of financial accounting systems in support of client requirements.
Preparation and management of accurate and timely financial reporting.
Management of junior accounting resources in support of client deliverables.
Management of and liaison with external auditors to support the audit process and to prepare and review client-side audit materials provided to external auditors.
Development and analysis of budget and management of annual and periodic budget process and variances.
Financial forecasting and analysis.
Cash flow management and analysis.
Management and stakeholder reporting in respect of financial reporting matters.
Provision of strategic and practical advice relating to financial, accounting and tax matters.
Liaison and collaboration with client management, operational teams, and stakeholders in respect of company, audit, strategic, and other matters.
Engagement, monitoring and assessment of client internal controls and accounting policies.
Provision of assistance, guidance, and support to clients, in concert with professional advisors when appropriate, in connection with regulatory filings, audits, reviews, and other regulatory or tax matters.
Management of general financial and accounting processes (e.g., payroll, payables, receivables, etc.) as may be required by client demands.
Such other tasks as may be required by TNS or clients from time-to-time.

Please note that the standard working hours for this role are 11:00 to 20:00 hours PKT. Work outside of these hours may be required from time-to-time, including accommodating West African business hours in the GMT time zone.
