Cabbage butterfly belongs to order Lepidoptera and family Pieridae. Cabbage butterflyis a serious insect pest of cabbage and other mustard family cropsfound across Europe, North Africa, Asia and GreatBritain; it is widely recorded in Pakistanand China (Badawi,1981).The young caterpillars of cabbage butterfly gregariously feed on leaves, resulting defoliation in plants.Damage to broccoli and cabbage, dropping faeces that cause a discoloration ofheads.After the head formation of cabbage, the young caterpillars feed on the outer side of leaves and tunnel into the center, making the crop invaluable for fresh market.(Khalid et al.,2012 ;Younaset al., 2011). In Pakistan, mostly the insect pests of cabbage are controlled by chemical methods. These insecticides have a great action on different systems of insect. In this way the studiesof hematological effects play a significant role in understanding the physiology of insects. Haemocytes performed different functions because they are responsible for the supply of nutrients and oxygen to different tissues and are phagocyte in action (Gupta, 1985).Mostly the formation of connective tissues and food storage functions is also done by haemocytes (Wigglesworth, 1959). Haemocytes are generally different from one species to another.
