Provide Technical Assistance on community-based infrastructure projects undertaken under the Pakistan Community Support Project (PCSP) related to CASA 1000 Power Transmission Line Project. (PCSP has been initiated to create goodwill in the project area prior to initiation of CASA1000 Project).
Supervise the work of local implementing partner Special Development Unit of P&D Department of Government of KP from development of  technical feasibilities to implementation of subprojects undertaken under Community Physical Infrastructure component (link roads, drainage, sewerage, water supply, irrigation, water resource management, small span bridges & culverts, mini dams etc.)
Responsible for reviewing, verifying and recommending approval for infrastructure project proposals.
Responsible for contributing in improving the civil works design, and implementation of infrastructure projects.
Monitoring of infrastructure projects to ensure in-time initiation/completion and follow-up of quality work as per specifications/drawings i.e. workmanship, quantum of work, quality control tests etc.
     

PPAF falls under the domain of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD), Government of Pakistan. I represent PPAF at various fora of the Government. All matters related to PASSD are routed through me. Being the coordinator, I participate in government meetings, respond to electronic and conventional mails, draft suitable responses to the queries raised by the elected political members of the National Assembly pertaining to the matters under the domain of Poverty Alleviation.

Responsible for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting portfolio of the organization related to water supply, drainage/sewerage and solid waste management.
Responsible for preparing Data collection procedures, Monitoring, Evaluation Plans, Quarterly and Annual Progress Reports, Annual Plans, logical/results framework, project performance tracking, key performance indicators, data flow charts.
Supervised the formulation of M&E manual through consultants.
Responsible for developing concept notes, key performance indicators, project briefs and other technical documentation for the various activities.
Study world acclaimed good practice and translate these into tailor-made solution keeping in view ground realities.
Supervised the preparation of Master Plan for water and sanitation sector of Peshawar.
Responsible for developing terms of reference, scope of work and technical specifications for the potential bidders related to provision of technical services like EIA study, Waste Characterization Study etc.
Involved in identifying technically, socially, environmentally viable and feasible sites for Sewerage Treatment Plant and Sanitary Landfill Site.
Participated in developing strategic plan to identify way forward for RDF (reduced Residual Fuel), Waste to Energy initiatives.

Responsible for the planning monitoring and seamless operations pertaining to water supply, drainage/sewerage and solid waste management services in the Zone.
Assign tasks to the field managers as per needs and emergent situations
Responsible for the HR related issues of over 500 zonal employees (staff hired from private sector as well as staff inducted on deputation from government departments like Municipal Corporation & Peshawar Development Authority).
Close liaison with local government, district government and elected members of provincial/national assembly, members of district/ tehsil, and neighborhood/village councils.
Represent WSSP on zonal matters at various forums.
Ensure water revenue collection to the desired threshold.
To ensure that trust between WSSP, public representatives and beneficiary community is restored and un-served/under-served, gender focused population in WSSP jurisdiction has adequate access to clean drinking water and sanitation services and disaster resilient infrastructure.
Develop IEC material like pamphlets, brochures, leaflets, banners, etc. on WATSAN/WASH related interventions
Organize various campaigns for awareness raising amongst communities, general-public, elected representatives regarding solid waste management, sanitation and proper use of water supply system, sanitation & efficient solid waste management.
Special campaigns for effective revenue generation.
Capacity Building of community members, elected representatives.
Arrange various International Days around WATSAN/WASH.
Arrange awareness raising Social Walks, workshops, seminars for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
GM-CEO Secretariat:
In CEO Secretariat I was responsible for all matters related to internal and externa coordination with partner organizations, government departments and donor agencies. As a senior member of the team I was focal person for calling internal meetings on the directives of CEO for updates, progress review and on any other emergent issue. Documentation in the CEO secretariat was also looked after by me.
GM-Water & Infrastructure:
Responsible for strategic visioning of the department
Funds allocation to the PPAF Partner Organizations keeping in view their absorption capacity and needs of the communities
Ensure equitable distribution of funds amongst the provinces/federating units of Pakistan
Ensure that the infrastructure projects like rural roads, water supply & sanitation, conventional/high efficiency irrigation, renewable energy projects (micro hydropower/solar energy), delay action/check dams etc.) are implemented following the Environmental & Social Management Framework (ESMF) of PPAF. This also includes 2011 cyclone triggered floods rehabilitation intervention in the coastal areas of Sindh.
Provided strategic leadership to a team of professionals having expertise in water resource engineering, hydrology, geotechnical engineering, GIS/remote sensing, civil engineers. Formulated and devised drought/disaster management plan/strategy under the theme of climate change and resilient communities for water scarce areas by developing water balance model keeping in view various climatic factors, water consumption and water percolation / evaporation / transpiration. Based on the dynamics of water availability, different types of physical infrastructure projects were designed like delay action dams, check dams, pipe irrigation systems, high efficiency irrigation systems, various types of land reclamation structures like earthen embankments, gabion structures etc. Under the plan comprehensive way forward wad developed for crop rotation, cropping pattern and so on. Deliberate efforts were made to introduce low delta crops.

Rehabilitation and resettlement of Bugti families. Interventions were devised to for repatriation of the families from Rajanpur to Dera Bugti and thereafter a comprehensive rehabilitation program was initiated for them.
Rehabilitation of 2013-earthquake affected families of Awaran.
Rehabilitation plans for the cyclone affected families of Thatta and Badin.

Contract Administration of over USD 50 million pertaining to physical infrastructure projects in respect of PPAF Partner Organizations.
