Provided strategic leadership to a team of professionals having expertise in water resource engineering, hydrology, geotechnical engineering, GIS/remote sensing, civil engineers. Formulated and devised drought/disaster management plan/strategy under the theme of climate change and resilient communities for water scarce areas by developing water balance model keeping in view various climatic factors, water consumption and water percolation / evaporation / transpiration. Based on the dynamics of water availability, different types of physical infrastructure projects were designed like delay action dams, check dams, pipe irrigation systems, high efficiency irrigation systems, various types of land reclamation structures like earthen embankments, gabion structures etc. Under the plan comprehensive way forward wad developed for crop rotation, cropping pattern and so on. Deliberate efforts were made to introduce low delta crops.
