Accountable for establishing and implementing the OXFAM rural livelihoods vision, and strategy and within this
* Develops and makes decisions on OXFAM rural livelihoods programming, inclusive of food security, gender, livestock and value chain activities.
* Develops and makes decisions for OXFAM rural livelihoods programming in all target Sindh including quality assurance, tool development and effective Sindh support
* Develops and makes decisions on OXFAM strategy for growth in rural livelihoods including relationship building with institutional and private donors, particularly with OXFAM.
* Develops and influences decisions on rural economic research agendas - with a focus on women’s economic empowerment - including relationship building with academic partners and think tanks
* Develops and influences decisions for rural livelihoods, gender and food security advocacy priorities including relationship building with policy makers.
* Develops and makes decisions on strategy for determining and implementing the most effective staff structure to achieve high quality support and programming for rural livelihoods within OXFAM including staff recruitment, staff management and talent development
* Supports the development of overall ERD strategy including contributions to other ERD sectors’ program development and advocacy
* Acts as a global spokesperson for OXFAM rural livelihoods, gender and food security sector including external as well as internal representation within the humanitarian sector

Emergency Food Security & Vulnerable Livelihood (EFSVL)


JOB PURPOSE:

To provide strategic and technical support to the EFSVL teams and Area Managers in the design, implementation and monitoring of LHDP’s EFSVL strategy in Sindh. This will involve contextual analysis, EFSVL sector assessments, planning, internal and external coordination/representation, supporting the implementation/follow-up of LHDP EFSVL strategy in Dadu and Qamber Shahdadkot and integrating EFSVL into multi-sectoral programming with WASH, gender and protection. The role will influence strategic decision-making within the EFSVL strategy in line.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic technical advice and support for programme design and implementation

With the input from WASH, gender and protection colleagues, provide technical and advisory support to the EFSVL team and as needed, to national partners to enhance a solid and systematic contextual understanding of programmatic areas, people’s needs and capacity as well as power dynamics. This will require inputting in the triangulation and analysis of information from a variety of sources;
In close coordination with other programme teams and based on assessment and contextual analysis support the development of context appropriate detailed operational plans and budgets for the delivery of activities aimed at increasing food security, restoring livelihoods and creating enabling environments for communities to increase their resilience.
Provide technical inputs in project and proposal development, and provide support, where required, to write donor and programme reports;
Work closely with other programme teams, especially the MEAL team, to enhance social accountability and ensure ongoing monitoring of Oxfam’s programme activities, in both accessible and inaccessible areas;
Provide strategic and technical advice to develop creative solutions to the delivery and monitoring of EFSVL activities, in both accessible and inaccessible areas;
Explore and promote technological options (like e-vouchers, Last Mile Mobile Solutions, bank transfers...) for scale up and for increasing effectiveness and efficiency of EFSVL programming;
Design or identify tools and approaches for use in food security activities, livelihoods support and market monitoring, participate/lead in market assessments and in any other assessment as needed;
Ensure policy team is informed of potential EFSVL issues which require internal and /or external advocacy support, and that the EFSVL work is well represented in all communication material and media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Ensure all office document including reports and correspondence are filed accurately with all supporting documents in both soft and hard copies;
 Quantitative and qualitative analysis of reports; bookkeeping and management and updating of records to ensure easy access and maintenance;
 Support HO team during field visits of the project area for collecting information and documentation of project activities from field level;
 Supporting HO team during implementation of project activities at field level and keep record of consortium partners established CBOs and social structures;
 Compiled data of project beneficiaries, stakeholders participation in project activities and implementing partners on going and completed activities track record;
 Record and produce the minutes of staff meetings and ensure timely circulation of minutes and notes.
 Make arrangements for meetings, seminars and events: implement logistics, prepare correspondence, compile and distribute documents, make administrative arrangements;
 Review and direct correspondence, calls and queries to appropriate contacts; provide for background information; respond to routine enquiries;
 Maintain records of old templates and communications exchanges to serve as reference of future correspondence;
 Initiate and follow up on administrative and financial actions related to staff management, non-staff support, travel, payments, and procurement.

Position: Master Trainer of Backyard Farming and Sugar Cane Expert at Thatta
Project: BBSYDP
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop training reading communication materials on training modules proposed for Backyard Farming and Sugar Cane.
Establish 01 TOT and 05 FFS under BBSYDP in Thatta. Design and implement training on Backyard Farming and Sugar Cane.
Develop weekly session plans and training schedule as per agreed timeframe in the contract.
Conduct training session for capacity building of 32 TOT participants and 05 FFS related to Backyard Farming and Sugar Cane training in district Thatta Sindh as agreed with donor.
Work closely with Project Manager to prepare and develop monthly work plans and monthly progress reports.
Ensure that training program run in accordance with the timeline and schedule proposed to BBSYDP.
Record the project activities (notes, photos, videos, and others) and organize them systematically.
Coordinate with BBSYDP staff for reporting and smooth project activities implementation.
Develop a comprehensive report at the completion of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement training on priority kitchen gardening topics.
Develop monthly session plans and training schedule on kitchen gardening training as per agreed timeframe in the contract.
Develop training modules on kitchen gardening in consultation with PM as per agreed scope of work in the contract.
Conduct training program me for capacity building of HAI-PAK staff and farmers related to kitchen gardening in district Tharparker Sindh as agreed with the donor.
Develop training reading/communication materials like leaflet, booklets, and brochures as agreed with the donor.
Work closely with Project Manager to prepare and develop monthly work plans and monthly progress reports.
Ensure that training program run in accordance with the timeline and schedule proposed to HAI-PAK.
