•   Keeping careful control over costs.
•   Scheduling the rotas of drivers to increase efficiency.
•     Organising the transportation of goods from one place to another.
•   Writing up freight expense reports for senior managers.
•   Responsible for the logistics budget from initial costing to post-event reconciliation.
•   Processing delivery notes.
•   Coordinating staff and monitoring their performance.
•   Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles.
•   Ensuring that all activities performed within the department are performed safely.
•   Managing contractor and subcontractor activities.
