Field Geophysicist (Out Source)
Seismic field QC of drilling, loading and layout procedures , reporting includes daily, weekly, monthly, 3D block completion report, final operational report etc, Seismic data Processing (seismic raw shots loading & QC, geometry definition & QC, velocity analysis, brute stack etc) in Omega2 software, SPS files generation in KL Seis/Mesa professional 10.04 & OMNI 3D, field logging & processing of LVL/Uphole/Downhole (Refraction seismic survey) data
Geophysicist
Main responsibilities were included but not limited to:
1. Seismic raw shots loading, display and QC in SeisSpace software
2. Geometry spread sheet preparation, Header loading and geometry QC in SeisSpace Software.
3. Brute Stack preparation, Velocity analysis, Residual stacking, Noise Attenuation, Multiple Attenuation, Post Stack Migration, Pre-Stack Time Migration (PSTM) and SEG-Y output in SeisSpace software.
4. 2D/3D project designing.
5. DPR (Daily production report) QC & compilation of daily recording production of (KPOGCL & OGDCL JV blocks, Pezu and Kulachi) of OGDCL Seismic Party-3.
6. G&G studies and related field scouting for seismic projects and for bidding purpose.
7. Detailed scouting report preparation for scouting of blocks.
8. Technical advice to Petroserv team regarding seismic crew establishment for the company, Technical Bid evaluation and field guidance for field team.
9. Mapping & Digitization in Google earth & Arc GIS software.
10. Tender preparation & bid evaluation for the establishment of seismic crew in KPOGCL.
11. Other tasks assigned by GM Petroserv and C.E.O KPOGCL, Peshawar.
Assistant Geophysicist
Main responsibilities were included but not limited to:
1. Field QC of Cable front crew during layout i.e. Checking Geophone Plantation, Positioning, damping & Spacing according to QC parameters.
2. Field QC of Source Points (DP\'s & VP\'s) Stacking & offsetting by Survey Crew.
3. Field QC of Trouble shooting Crew for Noise Control during Recording.
4. Reporting includes Project Startup report, daily report, weekly report, monthly report.
5. Line completion report, Final operational report etc.
6. Cable shop SMT 200 data transferring on daily basis.
7. Field QC of Drilling Crew i.e. Checking depth & designed locations of POP shots & deep holes according to QC Parameters.
8. Field QC of loading Crew i.e. Checking charge size and proper tamping of holes according to QC Parameters.
9. Active supporter of onsite Processor by performing raw shots loading & QC in processing software.
10. Planning, Execution, Field logging & processing of LVL/Uphole/Downhole (Refraction seismic survey).
11. Conducting trainings to field crew, scouting of operational area, giving full technical support to client on geophysical problems in field area & delivery of data to client.
12. Assigning plans to different groups for field production.
13. Daily Meeting record for head office.
14. Assisting and suggesting solutions to Party Chief and Chief Geophysicist for different operational difficulties like permitting, adjusting offsets and replacements to enhance Quality of data and production of the project.
15. Participating in daily operational, HSE and tailgate meetings and assisting Chief Geophysicist on quality, operational and HSE issues.
16. Other tasks assigned by Incharge of Geo department in the field.
Geophysicist
Main responsibilities were included but not limited to:
1. Scouting for bidding of 2D/3D Seismic Survey in K.P.K Province of Pakistan also scouting for Base Camp selection of Seismic Crew for seismic exploration.
2. Make Request for proposal (RFP) for 2D/3D Seismic Crew and Drilling rig Services.
3. One Month HR. Work with KPOGCL HR. Team by short listing candidates for interview after evaluation i.e. arranging and conducting interviews of the qualified candidates.
4. Preparing Tender Notices and work on procurement for Seismic Crew.
5. Bidding documentation (Technical bid preparation for 2D/3D Seismic survey), Seismic business development, planning, contracts & operations etc.
6. Identification/evaluation of prospects in operated & partner operated areas by integrating G&G data with other Geo-Scientists including reserves estimation, risking & ranking of prospects and presentation to higher management for approval.
7. Feedback to the letters related to innovation in Oil & Gas Industry.
8. Preparations of budget & in routine administrative works including preparation of various notes and technical presentation.
9. Made arrangements and conduct geological field work.
10. Preparation of Technical presentations and notes for budgetary requirements.
11. Other Tasks assigned by HOD & Respected CEO KPOGCL from time to time.
