Assisting Program Director with planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the health and nutrition service plans, systems and procedures.Developing written health, environmental safety, sanitation, food service and emergency policies and procedures.To ensure compliance with performance standards as well as other local, state and federal regulations, to ensure health, health and safety and nutrition standards are met. Contributing to the development of the delegate and partner agencies annual plan, program proposals and community assessment, as requested.Monitoring and follow-up on health and nutrition status of children in the grantee, service systems and outcomes to ensure high quality and individualized services are delivered for children and families.Building alliances with community health and nutrition stakeholders in order to create interagency linkages.Providing training and technical assistance to staff based on assessment of health, health and safety and nutrition service area needs. Managing and implementing the performance-based monitoring system to meet targets.Ensure that the M&E databases are updated routinely and systematically.Ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines regarding M&E are developed and updated where necessary.Assist Deputy Director to develop an overall M&E plan.Assist in the process of ensuring that the performance reviews are conducted regularly.Develop and maintain an effective information database on projects, providing resources and necessary support for program inputs and outputs.In collaboration with M&E Team identify and document achievements and accomplishments of project indicators against set performance targets.Ensure timely compilation of progress reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).Act as a focal person for communication, coordinating information requests, and documentation of best practices for internal and external sharing.Any other duties that may be assigned by the Deputy Director M&E.
Conduct individual and collaborative research projects.
Writing up results of research and contributing to publishing of results in high quality peer reviewed academic literature.
Participating in regular discussions with other academic partners. Liaise with potential partners to enhance impact of research.
Participate regularly in group meetings and prepare and deliver presentations to project team, internal and external stakeholders or funders.
Assist with the supervision of graduate students and undergraduate project students and the assessment of student knowledge.
Continually update knowledge and understanding in field or specialism to inform research activity.
Identify sources of funding and provide assistance with preparing bids to funding bodies contribute to securing of funds for research.
Develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint research, with assistance of a mentor if required.
Disseminate knowledge of research advances to inform departmental teaching effort.
