<p>Title: Development of Self Compacting Concrete and its Durability Properties.</p> <p>ABSTRUCT:</p> <p>The development of self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a revolutionary landmark in the history of the construction industry. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Carbon Fibres, Steel Fibers, GGBS (ground granulated blast furnace slag) and Fly Ash on the fresh properties of self-consolidating concrete (SCC) and the hardened properties. Fresh properties comprising flow ability, passing ability, and viscosity related segregation resistance. Hardened properties comprising compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength, modulus of elasticity, and Ultrasonic pulse velocity. The key mechanical properties such as Durability, Compressive Strength, Splitting Tensile Strength, Flexural Strength or Modulus of Rapture, and Toughness or Fracture Energy of Carbon Fiber Reinforced, Steel Fiber Reinforced Self Compacting Concrete were determined. This paper mainly focuses on determining the strength characteristics like compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength of SCC where cement is partially replaced by mineral admixtures like GGBS, Fly Ash.
