Software Engineer Intern
Learned Ruby on Rails from scratch and developed a website which is a Project Management System. A platform mainly for software house where the users can manage their projects. Employees can log in and are assigned to a particular project. A user can see all projects and all clients of the company. It also shows the stats through bar charts about projects’ earning. A module for payment has also been created. Facebook authentication was integrated into the project using gem, ’omniauth-facebook’. An API was developed for authentication using ’JWT’ and another for searching using ’Thinking Sphinx’. Along with it, different gems were used to develop the website such as devise, paperclip, kaminari etc. The front end is developed in Bootstrap, HTML and CSS whereas backend is in Ruby on Rails. During the internship, daily scrum meetings were held to discuss the progress.
