I have over 5 years of professional experience in research work on water resources and management, and field work focused on renewable energy sector particularly solar energy systems and its use in water resources. I have designed and managed implementation of solar energy projects in rural areas of KPK. When it comes to water sector, I possess a strong inclination towards applied research and knowledge acquisition. My strengths include GIS, hydrological modelling and sound understanding of application of solar energy in water sector.

Project: “Understanding our Joint Water-Climate Change Challenge and Exploring Policy Options for Cooperation on the Afghan-Pak Trans-boundary Kabul River Basin”.
1- Studying the projected impact of climate change on the Kabul River Basin waters through changes in glacial melt, snow melt, rainfall and temperature.
2-Snowmelt Runoff Modeling of Kabul River Basin
Conducted a research project analyzing Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) data for terrestrial water mass over ten years’ time in the Indus River System to investigate long term trends of water mass. Also acquired and analyzed evapotranspiration data and gridded weather data. Completed a literature review of the relevant articles, developed new skills with both Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and MATLAB simulation, documented my findings, and delivered two public presentations on my research.
