•        Ensuring that the MGPS is operated safely and efficiently in accordance with the statutory requirements and guidelines.  
•        Responsible for the Permit to Work System, including the issue of Permits-toWork to Competent Persons (MGPS) for all servicing, repair, alteration and extension work carried out on the existing MGPS.  and supervise the daily activities of the MGPS technical team.
Oversees and carries out maintenance and repair of MGPS equipment.
Ensures that Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with the schedule, frequency and task lists and provides reports on any works required thereafter.
Responsible for inspections and tests of medical gas outlets/inlets, zone valves, alarms and sources in the hospital.
Ensure that the MGPS maintenance specification and schedule of equipment (including all plant, manifolds, pipe work, valves, terminal units and alarm systems) are kept up to date.
Ensures that both the quality & quantity of the jobs are in line with KPIs.
