I have always held a particular interest for working with children, women, and families who are gender diverse, primarily in areas involving social, emotional, and psychological well-being and support. My study of Psychology and Human Rights at Curtin University has greatly furthered this interest and fostered a strong desire to be in a counselling or support role for vulnerable youth and contribute to the development, protection, and application of human rights
Directing new students and parents to their destination and discussing experiences at university and answering queries.
Completion of comprehensive mentor training.
Attendance at and participation in School Orientation activities, including face to face meetings with mentees and campus tours.
Maintaining regular contact (fortnightly) with mentee group over email or social networking sites offering support, relevant information about important dates and events, social campus event information, information about relevant workshops and courses, information about student support services, introductions and referrals to academic staff and response to queries.
Meetings throughout the semester with mentees and/or School Mentor Coordinators.
Preparation of dinner and delivery on a weekly basis improving time management skills.
Supervision of young children furthering time management skills and communication skills.
