During my medicine rotation I was responsible for history taking , detailed clinical examination , conducting relevant investigations , counseling patients their families.
During my stay in this ward I regularly attended ward rounds , outpatient department and had exposure to acute medicine. I also regularly attended presentations , journal club , seminars.
I have gained command on many minor procedure during this rotation like passing IV line , taking arterial blood , peritoneal tap , pleural tap , lumbar puncture , urethral catheterization and passing N/G tube. I have also observed and assessed Central venous line placements , pleural biopsy.
I have attended both OPD and emergency duties where I had great exposure to different patients presenting with different and managed them with good care and admit the patients when needed.

The department of psychiatry consists of 64 beds. We have seen so many patients with psychiatric problems both in OPD and ward. During this rotation I came to know that psychiatric problems are really underrated in our society and people don't give attention to it. We have managed so many patients during this rotation. I also carried out on audit in this ward for initial investigation before lithium therapy and this audit brought changes in the ward too.
As house surgeon in this unit I was responsible for pre operative and post operative management including history taking , clinical examination conducting relevant investigation , counseling patients and their facilities .
I have gained good experience while attending eye OPD, during which I developed extend my clinical skills with the use of opthalmoscope and performed slit lamp examination.
I did 24hrs duty in this rotation usually and have managed more than 200 patients presented with acute emergency of eye ranging from minor complain to traumatic injury
During my surgical rotation was actively involved in ward rounds , pre operative work and post operative care of the patients. My interest in surgery rotation also gave me opportunity to perform many minor surgical procedures independently along with assisting my senior in major operative surgeries mainly gastrointestinal and laparoscopy. During this rotation I have learnt essential skills in surgery and I was deputed to surgical ICU unit for one week where I performed life saving procedure like cardiopulmonary resuscitation and managed intensively ill surgical patients.
