"Hello, my name is Iqra Shaukat. I am freshly graduate in food science and technology. Through my experiences, including internships with the Punjab Food Authority and certifications in quality control and assurance, I have developed a strong foundation in food safety. I am excited to leverage my skills and knowledge to contribute to food industries and academia as quality assurance officer, food safety officer, or lecturer"
During my internship, I gained valuable experience in food safety and hygiene practices. I spent three months with the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), where I participated in various inspections aimed at ensuring hygiene conditions in different premises, imposing fines for violations, and discarding expired items. Subsequently, I joined the Town Team for 1.5 months, where I conducted inspections of various premises, enforced regulations regarding hygiene standards, and oversaw the disposal of expired items. In the final leg of my internship, I spent 1.5 months with the Milk Raid Team, participating in raids on milk suppliers to ensure compliance with safety standards, inspecting milk quality, and taking necessary actions to address violations. These experiences have equipped me with practical knowledge and skills in maintaining food safety standards and enforcing regulatory compliance.
