Civil societies are among the major custodians of change, and leadership is at the core of what they do.
For more than three years I have been a part of the civil society sector. I use the word sector because I have worked with not just one, but more than 15 registered non-profit organizations located in three major citie
• Involved in developing all communications mediums for marketing including writing of success stories
• Helped identified and effectively target new markets for raising funds with particular attention to corporations and individuals located in Karachi and Islamabad
• Coordinated with 100 major CSR departments representing different corporations and MNC’s
• Successfully launched membership campaign for 12 international cities in US, and Europe
• Developed newsletter and brochure content for promotion of Namal brand
• Formulated strategy for the company to improve sales in home automation division by tapping into more than 300 architects in Pakistan
• Planned and developed marketing materials such as brochures, website content, and outdoor media campaign officially launching company
• Maintained liaison with more than 30 suppliers from all over the world for new product booking
• Maintained client database of more than 500 individuals and corporate citizens for generating repeat sales
• Successfully captured cinema market of Pakistan comprising of 10 major players for sale and distribution of cinema equipment through personal marketing
• Gave three recommendations to regional manager on how to improve sales of diesel in 20 fueling sites
• Gathered sales data from 120 diesel sites for use in analysis

• Helped develop M&E framework for Foundation for Special Children to solicit grant from USAid
• Produced more than 50 publications for promoting NPOs and spreading awareness about their cause
• Delivered seven training sessions for professional grooming of fundraising team consisting of 60 personnel
• Helped provide strategic advice to more than five non-profits in light of Non-profit Coherence Framework
• Persuaded more than 20 schools to adopt school campaign aimed at educating young children on the benefits of washing hands. Delivered awareness sessions in these schools for Global Handwashing Day
• Handled development of paper on non-profit practices in Pakistan which was presented in a conference in Britain
• Helped raise funds for establishment of new dermatology department (indoor) in Gangaram Hospital
• Used social marketing to spread awareness about breast cancer under Pink Ribbon Campaign
• Was involved in cause marketing employing transaction based promotions, joint promotions, and sponsorships
• Helped establish new indoor skin department at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital by soliciting donations
• Developed HR systems for nonprofits including appraisal, feedback, and hiring systems
• Launched Ramadan fundraising campaign for five NPOs in Lahore during Ramadan in years 2009 to 2012
• Wrote research paper for a non-profit hospital advising them about the marketing strategy they should adopt
• Interviewed 30 people for developing newsletter for promoting cause of free education to the underprivileged
• Delivered presentations in five schools to promote organization's image and develop public relations
