USAID’s five-year, $21 million Dairy Project has impacted the lives of more than 50,000 small dairy farmers in Punjab by improving livestock productivity and increasing incomes. Implemented by the Dairy and Rural Development Foundation (DRDF), the project provides training on best farm practices, breed improvement and basic animal healthcare techniques.

• Approached the most profitable suppliers and initiated business relationship.
• Developed commercial terms of Invitation for bids (IFB) and manage contracts & MOU.
• To carry out supplier selection, Evaluation and conduct supplier support visiting on periodic basis for the development of vendors, continuity of supply operations and ensure compliance of policy.
• Negotiated with vendors to secure the most profitable terms.
• Developed a Procurement Plan and treasury forecast based on project requirements and strategy.
• Assist for Negotiation memo and Bid analysis/scoring according to USAID rules and regulations.
• Market Intelligence regarding rates, new product range and on forward and backward integration.
• Purchased of Goods and Services through bidding process like Vehicles, veterinary items, Bio gas unit, semen, agricultural equipment & commodities, printing material and consultancy/services like media production houses & advertising agencies, insurance, labs test, administration, distribution, security, monitoring & evaluation firms.

• Planned consumption of accessories according to shipment and follow up from suppliers as well.
• Supervised warehousing and liquidate the waste material/scrap.
• Coordination with Export/Marketing department & production unit in order to make material availability prior to the beginning of production.
• Arrange new development of accessories and accessories sourcing.
• Ensure intelligent buying to achieve saving targets and meeting benchmarks.
• Managed material planning, forecasting, accessories distribution and warehouse inventory control.
• Developed and implemented new systems, best practices, inventory control, demand planning, and other optimizations in order to grow the business.

• Responsible for the overall accessories/packing material management, comprising of material planning.
• Developed Barcode system through software and zebra printer in an economical way.
• Coordinate with production units and supplied all required material as per demand.
• Implement & monitoring min-max inventory level for the significant items which is useful to preventing delays in production and Purchase of Goods from local market.
• Planning of material and other imported items for smooth production and timely order fulfillment.
