The Community Resilience Activity-North (CRA-N) Project is designed to support community level resilience development and conflict prevention activities within the newly merged districts (NMD’s) of Khyber, Kurram, North Waziristan and Orakzai Districts within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province; CRA-N will pursue a multi-disciplinary and community participatory approach and will work in close coordination with the Government of Pakistan (GoP) at the regional and district level.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Community Resilience Officer is responsible for the following set of activities:
1. Assist the District Team Leader (DTL) in the implementation and monitoring of program activities.
2. Work in coordination with the programming, engineering, M&E team Units and related project stakeholders.
3. Schedule and participate in planned project site visits, assessing the pace and quality of programming activities and providing written updates to the DTL on a timely basis.
4. Support the DTL in maintaining CRA-North Project stakeholder relationships within the district.
5. Assist the DTL in the coordination of workshops and public events.
6. Submit bi-weekly reports to the DTL, while contributing to overall project deliverables as required.
7. Maintain a clear understanding of the district and its diverse communities, while contributing to the design and implementation of district community resilience requirements.
8. Report regularly on the implementation environment within the district, presenting information to the DTL on the geographical, cultural, political and security conditions within the district.
9. Organize and maintain programmatic records and documentation, project databases, field activity records, project correspondence etc., ensuring that these records are available for inclusion in project deliverables and reports as required.

Assist Project Coordinator to prioritize and consolidate the community livelihood rehabilitation plans (CLRPs) at the District level.
•             Implementation of project activities in the field which included Livelihood inputs such as Agriculture, Livestock, poultry, Small businesses and vocational skill for men and women.
•             Develop capacity building training plans for Project staff, communities and partner organizations in implementation of program.
•             Identification and documentation of success stories, case studies and lesson learnt.
•             Documentation of progress report on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
•             Conduct baseline or impact studies on quarterly visits to assess immediate, medium- and long-term change and impact of work and provide feedback in relation to achievements, shortcomings, and recommendations for improvement in program.
•             Ensure the implementation of the food security / livelihood activities in Tribal District.
•             Developed monitoring system, methodology, tools/methods, checklists, indicators, reporting formats are in place to track immediate results/outputs and impact/outcomes against each output.
•             Establish and ensure smooth implementation of partnership mechanisms between the Government line departments, NGOs, community-based organizations and private sector organizations.

Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) is a Women-led Non-Governmental and Non-Profit organization registered under voluntary social welfare Act 1961.WEO is also registered with Economic Affair Division (EAD) Government of Pakistan. Since its establishment in July 2008, WEO is working for betterment of vulnerable communities. As a Project Manager I am performing the following tasks.
• Management of Primary education provision through established 105 schools in 15 districts of KP.
• Management of schools through supervisory and monitoring staff.
• Enrolment campaigns for new enrolment at the start of scholastic.
• Management of established 40 Home Based Girls Schools (HBGS).
• Community mobilization and sensitization campaigns to reach out to maximum number of parents (min 4,000 parents) to mobilize them to mainstream their children in any public education system in four districts of KP namely; Chitral, Mardan, Swabi and Haripur.
• To establish a Management Information System (EMIS) for students profiling and generating monthly EMIS reports.

Community Research & Development Organization (CRDO) is a non-for-profit organization, is implementing an emergency project to improve living conditions of TDPs of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) through integrated shelter and WASH support. Being a Project Coordinator, I am performing the following tasks.
• Managing a team of Engineers, Site Engineers, Community Mobilizers, M&E Manager, Database Officer and log and account officials.
• Community sensitization regarding the assistance being provided by USAID/OFDA (from the American people) during identification and selection.
• Ensure timely construction of shelters, latrines and water sources.
• Coordination meetings with Government, political administration and authorities for smooth functioning of the project activities.
• Coordination meetings with partner NGOs & sharing of project objectives.
• Reporting and monitoring of project activities.
• Data collection and maintenance of database.
• Restoration of water supply facilities.

Initiative for Development and Empowerment Axis (IDEA) is a non-for-profit organization, is implementing an emergency project on restoration of health facilities for the TDPs of North Waziristan Agency (NWA). The office is located at District Bannu and project mandate is to restore OPD services at the BHUs of NWA. Being a Project Manager, I am performing the following tasks.
• Community sensitization regarding the assistance being provided by USAID/OFDA (from the American people) during identification and selection.
• Ensure the availability of health staff at BHUs during the office hours.
• Coordination meetings with Government, political administration and army for smooth functioning of the project activities.
• Coordination meetings with UN as well as other international and national NGOs & partners and sharing of project successes.
• Reporting and monitoring of project activities to IDEA and COCERN authorities.
• Data collection of OPDs patients and ensuring referral system.
• Restoration of water supply facilities in the premises of BHUs.
• Promotion of Health and hygiene messages and services.

The Micronutrient Initiative (MI) an international organization working for the elimination of hidden hunger-the chronic lack of minerals and vitamins – affects one in three people, with impoverished women and children in developing countries being the most vulnerable. Being a Provincial Program Manager I was responsible for
• To led program implementation and bring innovative and sustainable solutions to reduce vitamin and mineral deficiencies through advocacy, technical and programmatic support, in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Developed monitoring strategy for 272 salt factories and 1500 salt workers in KP Province.
• Conduct orientation sessions for 500 doctors of all districts of KP.
• Trained 570 lady health workers (LHWs) of 25 districts on salt iodization program.
• Sensitized 1500 students of 30 schools of different districts.
• Development of ToRs for Micronutrient Initiative field staff and Health Department.
• Techniques how to liaise with Director General Health office Peshawar.
• To liaise with the District Health Offices of all districts of KP including FATA.
• To visit and train the salt processors of these districts to mobilize them on salt iodization.
• Conducting workshops for the health Department and Partner organizations on salt iodization.
• Meetings with Provincial Office of the Micronutrient Initiative (MI) based at Peshawar and National Office based at Islamabad.
• To prepare monthly progress reports and daily activity reports at the end of month.

The Wheat Flour Fortification Program in collaboration with All Pakistan Flour Mills Association and Ministry of Health Government of Pakistan, key donors and other stakeholders were involved to provide fortified flour to overcome iron and zinc deficiency. Being a National Manager, Mr. Naeem
▪ Established and maintain strong working relationships with the Ministry of Health and Provincial Health Departments, Pakistan Flour Mills Association.
▪ Actively engaged with the government counterparts and stakeholders to incorporate their inputs to the project design and practical implementation.
▪ Monitored all Pakistan Flour Mills. This includes conducting regular district visits to observe project implementation.
▪ Participated in the steering and advisory committee meetings of the partners.
▪ Performed as a national focal point/resource person for Flour Fortification Program.
▪ Provided technical support and guidance to the Provincial Coordinators and other field staff in Flour Fortification Projects.

The Universal Salt Iodization Program designed to bring together a wide variety of stakeholders including Ministry of Health, Provincial Health Department, District Health Departments, Education Department, District Food Departments and salt industry to fight against iodine deficiency. NCHD is public sector Development organization dedicated to the attainment of Millennium Development Goals in the area of Education, Primary Health, and Community Empowerment. Volunteerism for Community Development (VCD) Program is a NCHD implemented initiative for public involvement through volunteerism for community development. As Community Development Specialist Mr. Naeem performed the following responsibilities
:
▪ Supervision of the five distinct programs: Capacity Development Program for the capacity building of the local government officers and the elected representatives; Voluntarism for Community Development; Universal Primary Education; National ORS campaign; and Mass Adult Literacy Campaign
▪ Built relations with the partner civil society and public sector organizations for identifying volunteers for the strengthening of civic service departments.
▪ Developed Community Volunteers force of 1500 volunteers in southern districts of KPK.
▪ Managed capacity building of the Social Welfare Department for effective and efficient service delivery towards the marginalized members of the communities in Khyber Pkhtunkhwa.
▪ Lead the network of the Civil Society Organizations for spreading know how among communities about the human rights and especially rights of the women.
▪ Formalized CSOs at district levels for advocacy on volunteerism.
▪ Developed work plans, activities implementation tracking systems, Indicative Matrices and M&E strategy and plans for the activities carried out by the partners.
▪ The mandate of NCHD to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) was promoted and pushed the targets.
▪ The common people were sensitized about their civic roles and responsibilities.

SRSP a National NGO specializes in Community Development and designing and implementing projects focusing on community development and government line departments. The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa “Rural Water Supply & Sanitation Program”(RWSSP) was technically assisted by SRSP. Being Program Manager and Senior Social Organizer Mr. Naeem was responsible for:
▪ Building relations with the partner civil society and public sector organizations and Tehsil Municipal Administration(TMA) staff.
▪ Contributed to the development of Project Design, project proposal and budget.
▪ Developed policies, manuals and systems for facilitation and smooth functioning of the project.
▪ Devised communication strategy for internal and external relations.
▪ Performance monitoring of the project for course correction.
▪ Supervision of the procurement staff and on job training of the Local Government staff appointed for the implementation of RWSS Project.
▪ The formation and organization and capacity building of Community Organizations (COs) for the RWSSP Schemes implementation.
▪ To promote Gender Equality in Rural Communities.

The Government of Pakistan Launched Tawana Pakistan Project with the objectives of improving the nutritional status of primary school girls of 5-12 years of age and to increase their enrolment in primary schools. The nutrition program is a safety net intervention that seeks to access the poorest of the poor segment of society. The strategy addresses malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies in girls child and improvement in school enrolment and learning outcome/ cognitive development. It uses an innovative participatory approach for building partnership between government department and local communities through elected representatives at district level. . As a Field Officer of the project I had the following responsibilities:
▪ On job training of the school teachers about the health of Children.
▪ Capacity Building of the officials of the education department.
▪ To make sensitize and organize Community about children’s rights.
▪ To promote Gender Equality in Rural Communities.
▪ Liaise with Line Government Departments and NGOs working in the same field.
▪ Main responsibility was to create STC (School Tawana Committee) in every school.
▪ Orientation training to the STCs about the project’s manifesto.
▪ To contact the elders and religious leaders of the area for confidence building measures.
▪ To create awareness among people about health and hygiene practices.
▪ To orient parents about basic rights of children especially education.
▪ Monthly reports preparation and submission.

CUP is a national indigenous solution for implementing poverty reduction projects; an innovation that can be replicated by the Government and Development Agencies with unprecedented accruals to the poorest of the poor at an amazingly low per capita cost. It is a paradigm shift from run of the mill high-cost development projects having minimal impact to a result-oriented and synergy participatory development, which we call the 4-dimensional development approach; Integration, Participation, Impact and Transparency. Mr. Naeem as Field Coordinator had the following responsibilities:
