Based on the updated data GBV service directory developed for the Social Welfare, Special Education and Women\'s Empowerment Department and the FATA Secretariat.
Study on follow ups of former residents of Dar ul aman in Khyber Pakhtun Khawa; Conducted interviews with 20 former residents of Dar ul aman at their communities. The purpose was to identify/know their experience with different range of services they were offered while their stay at Dar ul aman and to know what challenges they faced when they get back to their communities. Worked closely with district social welfare officers and Dar ul aman staff to locate the former residents and meet them in their communities. Developed a report which highlighted the gaps/recommendations in services at Dar ul aman, health, Police, Judiciary and reintegration needs of the survivors.
Capacity Assessment of NGOs working on Women Shelter home Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and formation of Dialogue Board at Social Welfare department; Developed NGOs capacity assessment tools in close coordination with GIZ and SW, SE&WED KPK. Identified NGOs that are working on women’s shelter in KPK and led the capacity assessment of NGOs working on women’s shelter in KPK. Based on findings of capacity assessment, a dialogue board that comprised of seven NGOs was formed at Social Welfare Directorate. The main purpose of the dialogue board was to strengthen the response and referral mechanism for survivors of GBV.

National Consultant for Gender Mainstreaming: The new offer was cross checked with ‘fields of activities’ in the SGGP’s Gender Analysis. Prevention of violence against Women and Girls in KP and FATA ii. Support to Local Governance iii. Statistics iv. Taxation; in shaping activities on the basis of concrete recommendations. Supported the process of integration of gender-related activities in the work plans/plans of operation. The result area teams were supported in developing gender-sensitive concept notes (work on 24 concept notes on output level). ToR for baselines is checked for gender mainstreaming.
Generic Gender Analysis for Pakistan: As a general GIZ quality standard, based on the GIZ gender strategy it is obligatory for each Programme/Project to conduct a Gender Analysis according to specific requirements. One part of this Programme/Project Gender Analysis is a generic analysis. Under this assignment a research was done to list down a bibliography with the key documents on gender aspects in Pakistan. After review and approval of the bibliography by the Team Leader of result area Prevention of Violence against women, desk study was done and a generic gender analysis for Pakistan was developed.

Standard Operating Procedures for GBV service providers in KPK; collected all available existing Standard Operating Procedures for the service providers which are drafted or in use for application in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as in other provinces of Pakistan. Review of all existing Standard Operating Procedures was done to draft SOPs for the specific services for female victims of violence on the basis of existing ones. Field visit to Punjab were done to get feedback of the focal persons of government departments (health, Police, Medico legal, Dar ul Aman, Social Welfare) and non-governmental organisations concerning their experience and lessons learnt with the implementation and oversight system of SOPs. Interacted with GIZ Health Programme and Education Programme KP concerning the SOPs on health provision and skills development. As a result SOPs were developed for the GBV service providers at KP along with an oversight mechanism. The SOPs were further notified by the Social Welfare Department KP and a road map developed for the roll out of the SOPs.
Project Progress Review of Result Area; Prevention of Violence against Women and Girls in KP and FATA; Responsible to analyse Issues with regard to gender, women protection and women promotion in the working area of the Governance Programme. Generate primary data for the assessment of the achievements, factors for success or failure, lessons learnt and recommendations for the future design of the Technical Cooperation measure. Conducted interviews of relevant implementing partners at various level, observations and interviews with partners and respondents from the target group during field visits as well as discussions with members of the GIZ advisory team. Based on the discussion of all PPR consultants in the PPR team contributed to the joint analysis of the component interfaces and recommendations for the future.
