Supervise the development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems for all financial support services throughout the organization including accounting, financial reporting, auditing, related IT systems, budget management, and adherence to guidelines developed by the organization. Assist in the development of the Strategic and Business Plans for the organization. Ensure that the organization has enough financial resources to comply with its contractual obligations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design & implement policies and procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance with the local laws and regulations and make sure that the policies and procedures are adapted where necessary to reflect these laws and regulations.
- Ensure the adequacy and quality of financial reports, systems, procedures and internal controls.
- Oversee the preparation, consolidation and distribution of financial reports
- Ensure that the financial reports are regularly reviewed, analysed and followed-up.
- Complete the internal / external audits of Company as per the Annual Audit Plan; ensure that recommendation/observations made and agreed by the audit committee are implemented.
- Maintain funds flow to ensure the availability of cash for immediate needs.
- Proceed the renewal of tax exemptions, ensure the submission of tax statements and pursue cases & applications with tax authorities.
- Proceed the registration/renewal of legal registration/certificates, ensure the timely renewal and pursue cases & applications with legal authorities.
- Coordinate / conduct trainings for non-financial Managers / employees.
- Follow up with Technical Resource requirement of organization, Talent Acquisition/Hiring and related HR tasks.
- Ensure the quality of service and monitor the financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure that fixed assets of the organization are recorded and accounted for.
- Ensure that the procurement of assets follow the Procurement Guidelines.
Ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions;
Managing company\'s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
Preparing and Analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
Managing Budgets;
Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (Accounts/Finance, HR, Admin, and IT), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
• Treasury & Investments Financial Analysis of Long-Term projects, Investment Portfolio, Capital Budgeting, Cost & Benefit Analysis of Rental Projects, Radio Station etc.
• LUMS Banking Activities Communicating, Negotiating & Liaison with Banks for collection, student-related queries, check on outstanding issues and urging banks to improve their services
• Maintaining & Updating funds position weekly & allocating funds for contingent needs
• Updating monthly/quarterly/bi-annually/yearly record of Return on Investments & comparison & suggesting better option to get more return, negotiating with banks for attractive rates
• Recording & Updating Exchange Gain/Loss, Contingent liability, Endowment/Chair
• Legal documentation for various financing facilities of both fund based & non-fund based
• Dealing with renewal/extension of RF, LGs, and other financing limits, updating BBFS & LAF
• Dealing with Imports through LCs, Updating CWIP
• Corporate accounts, preparing necessary documentations inc. Board Resolution etc., having record of BOT & Signatories, Bank List, Contacts & keeping record of MC decision
• Credit Cards, Ijarah financing, Lease, Rentles & other facilities for LUMS & Staff
Working on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Oracle Application
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, cash accounts, salary, EOBI payable, pre-paid rent and vendors
- Checking and supervision of rent and payments to school branches and regional accounts
