I recently worked with Relief International as Project Coordinator/ Office In-charge (OIC) Pakistan. I was responsible for implementing PEACE Education Project for Afghan Refugee Children in Pesh-awar, Nowshera and Swabi districts. As project Coordinator I have implemented PEACE (Promot-ing and Empowering Afghan Children through enhanced Education) project worth of 2.25M funded by BPRM (Bureau of Population and Refugees Migration).
In my recent assignments I was overall leading the project staff in implementation, tracking pro-grammatic and financial activities, capacity building of staff, building strong coordination and networking with relevant stakeholders.
Worked on planning and preparation for IEC material regarding Education and Health/ Covid-19. Carried out baseline, midline and endline assessment for Social Behavior Change Communication SBCC. Prepared communication plans to kickoff SBCC activities at community level for Health Hy-giene/ Covid 19 vaccinations. Devised culturally sensitive strategies for SBCC and referral mecha-nisms and to increase awareness, trust, confidence regarding Covid 19 vaccination and health hy-giene. Devised plans to strengthen communication and networking with all relent stakeholders and Govt. line agencies. Kept close coordination with MEAL teams to timely address issued identi-fied at field level and change strategies as per feed back from MEAL team to ensured timely re-porting of key activities and targets set in ME Plans

As a Project Coordinator I was responsible to implement education and livelihoods project for Afghan refugees and host families funded by BPRM-US (Bureau of Population and Refugees Migration-US).  The overall responsibility was to rapidly and effectively design, develop and manage the Relief International’s on-site Education program for Afghan Refugees and in emergency Livelihood responses to meet the immediate needs of education, food, NFI and rehabilitation/ renovation of Govt primary schools of the affected population.
Supervised and implemented project activities in target districts by providi ng ongoing technical support to field teams, partners, Continues Professional Development (CPD) staff. Developed strong coordination and liaison with education department at provincial and district levels.
As integral part of the project Child Protection, Safeguarding, accountability, gender equality, inclusiveness, GBV, Mental Health Psycho Social Support (MHPSS) was ensured.
During the implementation phase I ensured to Increase burn rate with regular tracking of BVA. As per RI’s global commitment; CH4 and CH5 were fully implemented.
Ensured close coordination and collaboration with Government (provincial & district), UN agencies and Stakeholders. Adherence with RI’s core value i.e Inclusiveness, Transparency and accountability, Agility and innovation, Collaboration and Sustainability.
Upon successful implementation of Education project for Afghan refugees in first year was extended for the next three years and additional grant of livelihoods and Covid-19 was awarded to Relief International Pakistan. Teachers were trained on reading skills Concept i. e Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension.  Enhanced capacity of Head Teachers and District Education Department officials on reading skills. Provided tablets to Head Teachers for online entry, monitoring of classrooms and teaching methodology. In addition to staff management, I have  effectively managed allocated budget, regularly monitored schools and ensured USAID monitoring standards (Validity, integration, precision, reliability and timeliness) were followed. Assessment was carried out for Training and capacity building of Edu deptt officials/ teachers, oprerational management, monitoring and coordination, networking, data management, reports, capacity building of staff. Represented IRC at Provincial level coordination meetings through close collaboration with Government/ UN agencies.I remained part of the project from inception till evaluation.
