As a Project Coordinator I was responsible to implement education and livelihoods project for Afghan refugees and host families funded by BPRM-US (Bureau of Population and Refugees Migration-US).  The overall responsibility was to rapidly and effectively design, develop and manage the Relief International’s on-site Education program for Afghan Refugees and in emergency Livelihood responses to meet the immediate needs of education, food, NFI and rehabilitation/ renovation of Govt primary schools of the affected population.
Supervised and implemented project activities in target districts by providi ng ongoing technical support to field teams, partners, Continues Professional Development (CPD) staff. Developed strong coordination and liaison with education department at provincial and district levels.
As integral part of the project Child Protection, Safeguarding, accountability, gender equality, inclusiveness, GBV, Mental Health Psycho Social Support (MHPSS) was ensured.
During the implementation phase I ensured to Increase burn rate with regular tracking of BVA. As per RI’s global commitment; CH4 and CH5 were fully implemented.
Ensured close coordination and collaboration with Government (provincial & district), UN agencies and Stakeholders. Adherence with RI’s core value i.e Inclusiveness, Transparency and accountability, Agility and innovation, Collaboration and Sustainability.
Upon successful implementation of Education project for Afghan refugees in first year was extended for the next three years and additional grant of livelihoods and Covid-19 was awarded to Relief International Pakistan. By developing strong rapport Govt. departments at provincial and district level, RI acquired NoCs (No Objective Certificate) and Allowed to Work (ATW) credentials.
Worked on planning and preparation for IEC material regarding Education and  Health/ Covid-19. Carried out baseline, midline and endline assessment for Social Behavior Change Communication SBCC.  Prepared communication plans to kickoff SBCC activities at community level for Health Hygiene/ Covid 19 vaccinations. Devised culturally sensitive strategies for SBCC and referral mechanisms and to increase awareness, trust, confidence regarding Covid 19 vaccination and health hygiene. Devised plans to strengthen communication and networking with all relent stakeholders and Govt. line agencies. Kept close coordination with MEAL teams to timely address issued identified at field level and change strategies as per feed back from MEAL team to ensured timely reporting of key activities and targets set in M&E Plans

Being District Program Manager I was responsible to implement biggest project of Pakistan’s history i.e 1.6 million USD in education. Being part of this project, I was responsible to implement Pakistan Reading Project in 198 (112 girls and 86 boys) schools of district Charsadda. Project was executed successfully through support of education department, district administration and Govt. Independent Monitoring Unit (IMU).
Teachers were trained on reading skills Concept i. e Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension.  Enhanced capacity of Head Teachers and District Education Department officials on reading skills. Provided tablets to Head Teachers for online entry, monitoring of classrooms and teaching methodology. In addition to staff management, I have  effectively managed allocated budget, regularly monitored schools and ensured USAID monitoring standards (Validity, integration, precision, reliability and timeliness) were followed. Assessment was carried out for Training and capacity building of Edu deptt officials/ teachers, oprerational management, monitoring and coordination, networking, data management, reports, capacity building of staff. Represented IRC at Provincial level coordination meetings through close collaboration with Government/ UN agencies.I remained part of the project from inception till evaluation.

As a Policy and Systems Officer, provided technical and strategic support in drafting Education Policies from outlines of Federal Education policy 2009. This position was mainly responsible to Scann National Education Policy -2009 (NEP) to identify gaps and policy outline; and to draft new education policy for FATA after the 18th amendment. Effectively facilitate formation of Advisory Committee and support the process with provincial governments and other stakeholders to map and review existing education policy frameworks. As Policy and Systems officer I have successfully facilitated formation of Steering Committee to provide approval for policy implementations on the recommendations of advisory committee. Supported FATA/ Trible areas secretariat in developing provincial policy “maps” that assess alignment with other national and provincial policies. Identified policy gaps, conflicts, and inconsistencies. Worked with provincial Secretaries of Education FATA to provide support to sustain existing policy initiatives undertaken by TEP (Teacher Education Policy) and facilitate development and implementation of new policies particularly in the areas of teacher standards, compensation and accountability. Identified 14 policy outlines in National Education Policy (NEP) 2009 and further facilitated and supported in drafts preparations for approvals and initiations.
Other tasks carried out: implementation and monitoring of policy action plans as part of the Reading Improvement strategy (RIS), Quarterly policy review meetings, track progress in implementing new policies. Identified corrective actions to speed implementation, support in improvement of the capacity of provincial and district officials to develop leadership, managerial, and supervisory skills to effectively implement policies and regulations. Facilitated in bottom-up feedback at all levels through district-level workshops involving district DoE officials; community meetings; IT; paper publications; ongoing media campaigns, support provincial DoEs (Department of Education) and established monitoring and accountability offices modeled on example to coordinate and disseminate results of policy implementation.

Under my leadership child protection, safeguarding and flood response project funded by UNICEF was completed in 8 villages of district Sukkur, Khairpur and Shikarpur. In integration of Education, Health and DRR teams provided holistic support to community in needs. World Vision protection policies, INEE, sphere standards and psychosocial programing were followed. A child protection advocacy strategy was developed and implemented. Supervised establishment of 16 Child Protection and Learning Centers (CPLCs) and 16 Baidari (awarneness) committees (8 men and 8 women) were formed. Done capacity building of CPLC facilitators on Child Rights, activity-based learning components, psychosocial support and basic life skills. designed and developed IEC Material for Child Protection, DRR and Education activities.initiated recreational and accelerated learning activities/ events for children. Arranged Exposure visit organized to Muzaffargarh (Punjab) for Baidari Committee members of 8 villages with Govt. Child Protection Unit and Social Welfare Department. Successfully handed over 16 CPLCs to village Baidari committees for sustainability and continuity. Signed MOUs with Education Dept. and Social Welfare Department for referral mechanism. Formed Child Clubs in 16 CPLCs and provided training on self-protection and child rights. Staff capacity enhanced by providing trainings on class room management/ environment, DRR & life skills. Referred 1179 Children (633 boys & 546 girls) to govt primary schools  in 8 months project.

In this portfolio I have managed four district i.e. Buner, Dir Lower, Swat and Shangla  and provided administrative and  technical leadership. I was an integrated project of Education, WASH and infrastructure of flood and militancy affected schools.
I was responsible to manage multi projects funded by Qatar Foundation (ROTA Reach Out To Asia), MoFA (Ministry of Foreign Affair) Norway, UNICEF, ACCD (MoFA Spain), Save the Children Germany and Save the Children Korea.
Being Senior Coordinator I represented Save the Children at different forums like donors, partners, provincial and national stakeholders. Provided technical support in new program design, program learning, continuous improvements and shaping advocacy strategies on the basis of research and evaluation findings. Effectively supervised District Education Coordinatorsfor project activities 203 schools. As a key success/ achievement I acquired 10880 Sq ft free of cost land from the local community of village Ashari Swat for construction of “Govt. Girls Middle School”.  Earth Quake resistant designs for construction of schools were approved from DG, Pprovincial Ddisaster Mmanagement Aauthority (PDMA)/ PARSA.
Ensured adherence with INEE, Sphere, CHS & SDGs at field level. Four MOUs signed with Secretary Education, Senior Planning Officer and Director/ Deputy Director of education for targeted districts. MOU signed with DG PDMA PARSA and Chief Technical Engineer PDMA/ PARSA for construction of and repair of flood and militancy affected schools. Ensured donors and Govt department joint monitoring visits the selected schools.

In this portfolio I managed education, non-formal/ literacy program in Bajour, Mohmand, FR Pesh and Khyber (now NMDs). In this role I provided technical and strategic leadership in emergency and literacy education program, while complying with INEE standards.

Closely worked with implementing partners i, e NCHD (National Commission for Human Development), National Institute and Research Education (NIRE), Paiman and Khwendo Kor from its selection to exit/ evaluation process.  I was responsible to ensure results for “Increased literacy for employability among youth in Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber and FR Peshawar”. During the project youth were enrolled I the literacy program and were provided quality literacy learnings opportunities and were enrolled in life skill trainings. Established 400 literacy centers in high volatile security areas. Also acquired 400 literacy centers free of cost.

Sat with CBOs and discussed how to raise funds for the sustainability of Community Children Centers) CCCs, • Accelerated the process of (Community Based Organization) CBO registration, • Worked with Child Protection Unit and accelerated the referral process for maximum benefits of vulnerable children, • Facilitated UNICEF and Community in signing the MOUs and make sure that the CCCs will be used for the benefits of local community’s children.
• monitored CCC’s supplies and ensured that these supplies are used for the benefits of child participated activities and not stored in a public place but in CCCs. • CBOs assisted in technical aspects of formation and functioning, • CBOs facilitated/ trained in proposal writing, • Played an active role in development of CBO’s action plans, also ensured the participation of CPU (to ensure their practical inputs in the development of the referral system)

In this position I have implemented Community Based Disaster Risk Management CBDRM project. Under this position I have developed community structures and formed community structures through a participatory approach. I also conducted protection and DRR/ DRM needs assessment, formed Village Disaster Preparedness Management plans, community organization and build the capacity for resilience in earthquake, militancy and flood situations. Kept close collaboration and facilitation with local Govt officials, District Nazim, Naib Nazim, DPO, Social Welfare, Education Department, Health Dep’t, Social Welfare, Child Protection Units and other relevant institutions. Ensured and devised referral mechanism strategy with health department, Social Welfare and Child Protection Units for referral cases
Ensured women and children’s engagement, focusing primarily on the poor and destitutes at all levels of decision-making including identification, planning/ designing, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and evaluating of project activities. Integrated other sectors like WASH, livelihoods and health to ensure holistic and integrated approach. Conducted follow-ups on training activities in the field and monitored its impact. I have worked on thematic areas of child protection like CRC/ Children’s Rights with special reference to child protection issues like violence against children, child sexual abuses, corporal punishment, child labor and trafficking, children’s participation and non-discrimination and inclusion of children at the community level.

As Assistant Coordinator, I have practically conducted PRA tools with communities at 25 villages. Established 25 Non-formal schools, organized and trained CBOs, PTAs/ School Management Committees. Ensured integration between NRM, REFLECT, Child Protection, Health and NFE team activities.
I also worked in Tawana Pakistan Project, a multifaceted pilot project (Sept. 2002 to June 2005) which was funded by the Government of Pakistan to address poor nutritional status and school enrollment of primary school age girls enrollment of primary school age girls.

Being M&E officer, I have developed tools for Education and livelihood projects and lead project team in the development and implementation of M&E system. I have supervised routine program monitoring activities, ensured quality and relevancy of the project through effective monitoring and evaluation. I have designed, utilized the collaborative learning and adapting approach to continually assess project progress and informed project management for decision-making.  Provided support to performance evaluation process in collaboration with donor agency and the independent evaluation team. Ensured quality of M&E related data to be collected throughout the program implementation. Participated in the preparation and facilitation of informational meetings with Donors and other govt line dept. Documented results of the M & E system and produced periodic reports required to management and donor agencies.  Assisted the various program teams in data analysis, Trained staff of partner NGOs in data collection methodology and in the M & E system. Ensure cohesion with Sphere standards , HAP, MDGs and indicator-based monitoring at field level
