As Junior Engineer my responsibility is to assist Senior Electrical Design Engineers in reviewing, vetting and approving of (220KV+132KV) Grid Station electrical design submittals providing by contractor (M/s Siemens) as per the client specifications. The design includes:
• Single Line Diagram and Protection Logic Diagram
• Siemens GIS (8DN8/8DN9) with LCC (Local Control Cubical)
• HV devices Interlocking logics of different Bus Bar arrangements e.g. Double Bus, Ring Bus and Single Bus Bars
• Different types of protections used in Power systems e.g. Line/Cable Distance & Differential protection, Transformer & Bus Bar differential protection, Overcurrent & Earth fault protection, Breaker Failure protection etc.
• Protection Relay settings and CT/VT calculations
• Tripping logics & Signals List (Trip and Alarm signals)
• Cable tray/ladder layout and factors calculations
• Earthing layout and calculations
• Small power lighting and calculations
During the period I have got excellent command and understanding of complex Electrical drawings/schematics of various control and protection schemes of Bus Coupler, Transformer, Line and Bus Bar of both AIS and GIS substations.
Moreover, Prepare comments sheet in response to the contractor’s design submission, Conduct meetings with client and contractor and undertake necessary preparation prior to the meeting.
• Worked as administrator of state-of-the-art windows and Mac computer labs of university.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all hardware equipment (UPS, Computers, multimedia, printers, routers, switches etc.)
• Provide support in expanding and maintaining university computer network infrastructure
• Assist the faculty members in conducting lab relating matters to ensure software and hardware work flawlessly.
