Over the past 15 years, I have been deeply committed to humanitarian and development efforts, particularly in complex emergency situations involving refugees, IDPs, returnees and disaster-affected communities across Pakistan. As a current Shelter & Construction Advisor with the Save the Children, I have successfully designed and implemented a diverse range of Emergency Response, Recovery & Rehabilitation projects, as well as developmental initiatives in Health, Education and Social institution infrastructures.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the ability to write compelling proposals that have effectively mobilized resources from reputable organizations including SCUK, Dutch Embassy, DFID, UNICEF, UNOCHA, IOM, WFP, ECHO, EU, KFW, DEC, SWS, Bill & Melinda Gates & Aus-Aid. My experience extends to managing implementing partners working closely with Government Ministries, coordination with clusters working groups, camp management and engaging local stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project execution.
I take pride in my capacity in to lead large-scale responses during acute emergencies and conduct rapid need assessments that drive lifesaving interventions. My involvement in various Humanitarian Responses such as Balochistan Earthquake response 2008, Pakistan Flood Response 2010 & 2012, Mashkail Earthquake Response 2013, Internally Displaced People 2011-2014 and has allowed me to contribute strategically to the success of organizations during crisis.
Coordination has always been an integral part of roles and responsibilities, with line departments, stakeholders, Cluster, Technical working groups and local stakeholders. I have honed my skills in designing resilient infrastructures for communities affected by flood, earthquake, conflict, and climate change using durable construction material and DRR factors. I also have hands on experience in designing monitoring tools, need assessment, data collection tools, project implementation guidelines, construction SOPs, Technical check list, capacity building trainings to partners and in house human resources. I have also been part of “Emergency Preparedness Plans”. My skills in human resource management and budget preparation and management add to my professional skills. I have handled multi million projects like GIZ 6 $ Million WASH project, 9 Million $ Save the Children Emergency Response, 12 million $ world bank funded Education project.
Beyond my direct involvement in projects, I have represented organizations externally at regional and global forums including Stockholm World Water Week, African San, SACOSAN. Furthermore, I have been providing technical support to program teams in child protection (establishing Child Friendly Spaces) Education in Emergencies (Temporary Learning Centers), building the capacity of community in constructing disaster resilient structures, build back safer & Cash for Work for community-based infrastructures and more has been instrumental in ensuring program quality, accountability, and learning.

Leading Shelter and Construction Unit, Development of new proposals for different Donors, managing a flood response and multimillion projects, Coordination with line departments, Liaising with Head Quarters and Regions for Shelter Strategy, Developing Shelter and Construction SOPs, Integration of WASH and Gender into humanitarian response, technical backstopping of implementing partners.
The role is to do Monitoring and evaluation and learning into action of infrastructure WASH projects of GIZ partners, To form Thematic working group of all GIZ Pakistan program WASH partners • Contribute to the development Country strategy, action plan, activities plan and priorities in the WASH sector • Development and conduction of an operational plan for S4M pakistan baased on GIZ know-how, parameters given by HQ and by applying sustainable criteria. Adaptation of global S4M approach to Pakistan and assurance of sustainable results in cooperation with basic health units, schools. Cooridnation and liasing with counterparts and partner organizations and alignment with Sanitation for Millions approach. Engaging stakeholders in the events conferences workshops. Advise and cooperate with counterparts, governmental stakeholders, private sector, NGO partners and project partners. Liasing with other implementing organizations in the WASH sector. Managing MHM secteriat and liasing with government on MHM.
Developing proposals and budgets for water and sanitation & community based infrastructure projects. Preparing reports in line with the reporting schedule and to donor requirements - Assist in designing and implementing surveys and assessments related to the field of water and sanitation when needed.• Presenting Pakistan on different international forums like Worldwater week, SACOSAN, AFRICANSAN etc
To support the Project Monitoring Unit (PMU)in WASH & Infrastrcutre programs. Capacity building of the WASH team at field offices. Leading the team in Identifying needs in Schools upgradation,, formation and renovation. Approving the designs and BoQs built by the engineering consultants. Consultation with Education Department . After approval, implementation of the schemes, ensuring quality of work through engagement of consultants and contractors to fulfill the program objectives in the design of architectural and structural drawings as well as create bills of quantity, material specifications lists, and other technical documentation relating to infrastructure programming; • Identify appropriate mechanisms to adapt structures and to tender bids from contractors or local labor. Leading the team in identifying needs of in health care (Water, buildings, Hospitals, etc.) Detailed assessment of the selected schemes using technical standards. Development of concept notes and proposals. Preparation of Inclusive and accessible building desings, as per the WHO standards. Manage technical and engineering components. Development of SOPS for construction aligng with SPHERE and WHO standards. Integeration of Health and Nutrion programing. Making climate and environmental friend infrastructures. Ensuring DRR, climate adaptive, envivornmental friendly and inclusive components in the infrastructure. Coordination with Health Department, stakeholders, and other Donor agencis. Team management, quality assurance and timely completion of projects.
Leading Emergency Response Team in Pakistan (KP and Balochistan). Development of country stratedgic plan for emergency response. Developing SOP for construction and NFI distributions. Development of QBIs for NFI and Shelter construction. Cooridination with UNOCHA and Shelter Cluster at National and Provincial Level. Ensure standards and SOPs for protection and gender mainstreaming. Development of IEC materials for safe construction incorporating DRR and climate adaptive structures

Manage day to day activities of all shelter activities with social aspects( NFI Distributions, beneficiary selection and community sensitization. Assist shelter lead at country level with donor reports. Assist teams in identifying needs of WASH in schools of Balochistan, Early childhood education program, upgradation of buildings, coorodination with line departments, UN agencies.
