I have graduated in Business Administration and possess over 15 years of professional experience enabling client-oriented operations including but not limited to corporate security, NGO operations, diplomatic mission, United Nations Security Management System for IOM.
I am working as Field Security officer with IOM in Turkiye where my role includes overseeing all aspect of safety and security for overall operations of IOM in Turkiye, Northwest Syria operations as well as serve as Project Manager for UNSMS Training modules which includes SSAFE, IFAK, and WSAT and ASDT.
I started my United Nations career in 2017 as Field Security Officer with IOM in Somalia and since then performing the role of Field Security Officer with similar responsibilities that are expected out of this new position. I have served on STA to support IOM South Sudan and Northwest Syria Operations.
In addition to my past experiences within Pakistan prior joining United Nations, i worked with US Consulate Peshawar under the high stressful situation in the most difficult duty station (between 2009-2011) which was constantly under threat in the worst hit insurgency and as National Security Officer with Norwegian Refugee Council in Islamabad between 2011-2015.
I have attended all UNSMS Mandatory training required for high-risk Countries and i am well experienced practically implementing UN Polices and procedures in high-risk mission i.e Somalia, Northwest Syria and South Sudan.
These experiences kept me to perform under the stressful situation and yet enable the program and operations despite of fragile environment and Security challenges. Hence, i believe i am the most suitable candidate for this position since I have been working within UN Security Management System for IOM (UN migration agency) and have the transferable skills that i offer to this new position.
