Amreli Steels Limited is one of the largest manufactures of steel Reinforcement Bars in Pakistan. Situated in the industrial hub of Karachi and have another plant in Dhabaje, it most modern hot re-rolling mill technologies in the industry and is capable of continuously producing straight bars with its own rolling & steel melting shop. Assist director technical Planning, Scheduling and Monitoring of the maintenance and Projects, contracts management, project control, optimize staff, risk management, budgeting and management of complete project as well overall maintenance planning, management and execution activities in the plant.
Reporting and updates to CEO (owner) & COO overall maintenance & project activities in the plant.
Maintenance of equipment and implementation of PMS of rolling plant as well steel melting shop 08 induction furnaces each having 30 Mton capacity, continuous casting system, 18 overhead cranes 70 to 15 Tons, continuous rolling stands, finishing stands, cooling bed, FES Furnace fume extractive system, complete utility department having 03 RO plant, DM plant, bore wells, several pumps, cooling towers, 5 engine pumps, 2 MWatt backup generators, 50 MW grid power, Transformers, each Induction furnace required 14 MW etc. along with associated equipment, rolling stands, WTP etc..
Leading technical team as well prepare and control Budget, CAPEX and OPEX of the department.
To perform root cause identification/failure analysis/corrective actions/cost saving activities and to ensure all machineries for proper recording for preventive and corrective maintenance.
Management of project team, site execution, contractors and contract management, price negotiations, cost control initiatives, project progress reports & presentation to management daily, weekly and monthly basis regarding overall status of the project and site execution reports, after successful completion of projects implement proper commissioning and handing over activities, implement HSE and manage spare parts.
To prepare technical details & specifications of equipment/machinery to be ordered, ordering, receiving, inspection & handling of equipment/machinery involved in maintenance and projects, execution & follow up of maintenance and project activities through contractors/3rd parties, assign & control facility management, infrastructure, MEP etc.
Communicate with Consultants and clients for projects, Operation and delivery of Maintenance Projects.
Daily, weekly and monthly reporting for project and maintenance activities, approval from management on project and maintenance works as per allocated budget.
Shutdown maintenance planning and execution of overall activities with effective utilization of team.

SDTV was inaugurated on 21st December 2006 in the Djibouti Port; the new and most modern Bulk terminal of the region, SDTV is a privately owned company by Sheik Mohammed Hussein Ali Al Amoudi (MIDROC GROUP – SAUDIA ARABIA) with an exclusive concession to all dry bulk cargoes to be handled within the port of Djibouti- East
Africa for Ethiopia, Somalia, and Djibouti.  The construction was made and in-progress by jointly financed by MIDROC
GROUP, AFRICAN BANK and ISLAMIC CORPORATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRIVATE SECTOR.  

To plan, execute as well assist COO regarding maintenance & projects activities in complete bulk terminal, complete plant from VIGAN – Belgium having fixed & Mobile Bagging units also different types of conveyors, packing machines, NIVs’ Suction machines (600 Mton discharge capacity) with automatic different type of conveyors system, shopper hoppers, fixed bagging system 16 lines along with hoppers, several underground & overhead conveyors (Volcanic, Flexco & chain conveyor etc.) in storage silos also with length of 400 Meter, 20 MWatt power plant including Caterpillar, Perkins & Cummins Engine, utilities, Diesel Engines along with mobile equipments German Liebher & Chinese crane 65 tons, 10 Wheel loaders, 6 Bob Cat, 10 Lifters, 10 Excavators, Heli Trucks, Trailers, air compressors etc. in 24 hours running bulk terminal.
Leading team of around 80 persons in which 45 permanent persons (12 Philippines, 3 Pakistani, and 30 Djiboutian) & also additional 30 to 40 daily wages/contractual Djiboutian team to plan and manage all port breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and their implementation, deputation and shift rotation as per availability and priority of machines and facility management.

Provide training to the technical team for importance of documents and record keeping in the plant, appraisal and evaluation of team as per their expertise, trained and comply with EHS necessity in terminal.
Consultation with the foreign engineers regarding imported machineries and improvement plans.
Supervise, implement and deal facility and infrastructure, new machinery projects with local and foreign personal as well fabrication works.
To plan, execute, facility & infrastructure works of the terminal like firefighting works, new & old building works, electrical & plumbing works, main water line, drainage system, HVAC, civil works etc.

----- Assist GM Engineering regarding maintenance & projects activities in the plant and also monitoring of maintenance activities in Utility, Paint Shop that is similar to small chemical plant and Co-Generation department air conditioning, Waste water treatment plant, softening plant, RO plant, Gas & Diesel Generators, Gas Turbine, Air Compressors, Gas Compressors, Gas and waster heat recovery Boilers, Hot water Generators, Absorption chillers, conveyors, etc. and also complete facility management activities, 24 hrs running plant.
----- To check, repair and maintain overhead and floor mounted chain conveyors along with motors, gear boxes etc. that was used for carrying and pushing cars during assembling & manufacturing station and also in paint shop.

2- New Facility – Stamping shop (Press Shop):
Acted as a designer, planner & executor of production facility preparation (Civil foundation works, Pre-engineered building installation with crane of 80 tons, air piping, fire fighting, plumbing, installation of 2 press machines, with conveyors and automatic Un-loaders).

3- New Facility – Co-Generation power plant:
Acted as an in-charge for the preparation of new facility civil works, electrical works, foundation of equipments, air pumps, air piping, fire fighting, plumbing, installation of Kawasaki Turbine, CAT Generators, installation of chillers and package units installations for production halls along with fabrication of ducting, equipment and piping, installation of turbine, boilers, economizers, generators etc.

4- New Facility – New underground and overhead water tank along with complete all accessories.
Acted as an in-charge for the preparation of new facility construction of tank & pump rooms, complete piping network fabrication and installation along with pumps, firefighting lines, complete electrical automation.

5- Installation of Package Units for Paint Storage Area.
6- Cost effective project, exit hot water of chiller in close cycle was used for preheat of boiler to reduce gas consumption.
