The position reports directly to the Project Manager Birth Registration Project.
The Core responsibility of the District Manager is to:
Ensure effective planning, management and implementation of activities including monitoring and funds management.
Coordination with stakeholders to Plan and implement project activities for the district.
Implement agreed project activities as per work plan and field monitoring plans.
Develop strategy for sorting out the problems in user IDs and other technical issues likely to arise at district level and to intimate the action required to be taken by the concerned quarters at district and IT officer at provincial level.
Organize camps and celebrate important days in the field.
Monitor and provide support to the social welfare department/ organizations responsible for community mobilization and communication activities to promote birth registration.
Facilitate regular capacity building sessions for district team, facilitators and UC secretaries.
To monitor the performance of facilitators and identify the areas for improvement for their working to achieve the goals and objectives of the project.
Ensure effective and efficient utilization of UNICEF Funds transfer to district administration; maintain financial record, reports and timely settlements of accounts to Local Government Department (In line with UNICEF Policy and procedures).
To provide logistical support for all programme activities, including, but not limited to transport, travel, office premises and events management
The District Manager shall coordinate the visits of various missions, foreign delegates and donors as and when required.
Responsible to receive the supplies from UNICEF and maintain proper inventory of supplies received.
Prepare advance budget requests and prepare utilization reports.
Maintain accounts accurately and timely as per financial policy.
Prepare monthly and weekly work plan.
