概要

A women rights activists and development professional with expertise of campaigning, influencing, advocacy, women rights, fundamental rights, feminism, capacity building of counselors, SMCs, community groups and local government.


She led more than 50 member’s team for the implementation of USAID Education Program, build the capacities of women counselors, Nazim, chairman and local government officials on LG system Sindh.


Ensured the social safeguarding of students through their right to education, right to safe and secure living environments, safety from nuisances, accesses to all legal support mechanisms at state level. Ensured that students, parents, school management committees are taking part in the planning of school improvement plan and school improvement grant so that process should be inclusive. Build the capacities of Fisherfolk, peasant and women group on organizing, mobilizing, rights based approach, organizational management etc. She possess more than 16 years’ work experience in development field.


Ms Shahzadi has been awarded with fellowship of “16 days activism and 21 days on learning” by ISIS international from 25th October to 14 November 2010 at Quzeen city of Philippine. She presented the issues of Pakistani women including marriage customs, GBV strategies for responsive organizational practices, and the main learning on elements of the feminist ideas, committed to collective action to realize feminist visions for social transformation.


 She was awarded with Fellowship of EWHA global empowerment Program by “Asian center for women studies” EWHA Woman University Seoul South Korea and her paper was accepted on “Issues and challenges faced by woman leaders in local bodies of Pakistan” attended by 400 international participants including university students, academia, researchers, development professionals, Journalists etc from 9th January to 23rd January 2013, Seoul, South Korea.  Her paper has been published by EWHA women’s university.


She was also awarded the Fellowship of EWHA global empowerment Programme by “Asian center for women studies” EWHA Woman University Seoul South Korea. Presented paper on Transnational Feminisms and Women’s Activism: Strategies for Engagement and Empowerment in Jan 2019 January. Her paper has been published by EWHA women’s university. She was also awarded best Trainer by PAIMAN ALUMANI Trust under local bodies’ capacity building Program for women consolers and nominated for International trip to Nepal to meet with various stakeholders to share the learnings.


She has been part of plenty of short term assignments of survey, trainings, TOTs, translations, editing. She has worked with national organizations including PAIMAN Alumni Trust Fund, PATTAN, Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum and Shirkatgah Women Resource center and Arts Foundation.
